It only takes two pictures:

Great googly moogly.

I need some '03 SV650 parts. Any leads?

By the way, for those of you that don't know him Tom Marx is the coolest person in the world. If you ever get the chance to have him as your mentor in WMRRA, take it.

A little bondo and fiberglass, one bottle of turtle wax and it will be like nothing happened. Hope your feeling OK.

Bummer deal, glad you weren't damaged! Bikes are cheap to repair in comparison to body parts.

As I was sitting there on the hill, waiting for the session to end and the crash truck to arrive, I had the same thought. I was like "This will be WAY cheaper to fix!"

I was thinking the same thing, trust me. I am obviously WAY dumber than the average bear.

To all that asked - I am OK. I jammed my left pinkie pretty good, which sucks because my band has a show THIS Saturday and as of this moment it hurts to play the guitar.

I did hear from the guys today that the bike starts and runs fine, so there's no motor damage. The parts list so far is pretty superficial. I'm just really surprised at the amount of damage done, as it was just a lowside in T2. I guess it bounced once it got in the dirt? I know I did!

And what did your wifey poo say? I remember you saying you had to coax her into letting you go out again... I hope it wasn't too bad of an ass chewing!

She still thinks I'm an idiot. She was just glad she didn't have to come get me at Sacred Heart again.

Since I didn't get hurt she's actually been pretty cool about it, all things considered. I was expecting the "OK, for real no more track days!" rant, but it didn't happen.

You've got a great wife there then! I hope your pinky recovers enough to play with your band. Ice is your best friend right now.

What happened? You seemed to be rather conservatively?

On a side note, glad you are okay.

That's a very polite way to say I was slow as fuck out there. Do you have pics up yet?

It was just stupidity on my part. Came into 2 too hot (for me, let's be clear here). I was tentative on the tip-in due to this, started running wide, looked to the outside and had to correct due to now going that way even more. The front ran out of traction and down I went.

I've been thinking about it a lot (duh), and I am almost certain that if I had just went for it 100% at the tip-in point rather than being tentative there, I most likely would have made it. I would have shit myself, but I probably would have made the corner.

I'm with you Jim... I would really like to make it through a Spokane trackday with everything in one piece. One for three so far...

Jimmie

That's why I'm glad I wasn't using your SV! My wife may have been cool with it, but yours definitely would not have been!
