Thanks xqsme. A buddy of mine is doing the trackday on the 17th too. So I will be pitting with him. I will however stop by and chat up with you and some other PNDubbers! I see you and a lot of other folks I recognize from the forum there every race weekend but I'm up in the tower doing the scoring stuff and I could never come and talk to you guys. I'll definitely stop by this time.

Yep. I've done this each time and the general response when I show up is “Looks like you’re part of Del’s Group Buy, $175 please.” and I write them a check/give them cash (I don't think they take credit cards?).

I believe the key is to notify them ahead of time, if you just showed up and said I want in on Del's Group Buy I don't think that would fly.

Im IN!!! This is my first time at PIR, guys can you tell me do PIR have power outlet outside. I dont have generator, need for my tire warmers and need to plug my truck to, batery is very weak.

It was. I had the corner speed on him, but he continued to pass me on the front and back. I got him to back off when I showed him a little wheel going into T1 after late braking the shit out of him.

He cooled it down after that.

Made it home safe and sound with my first scrape on a knee slider! Managed to get it down right before lunch when i wasn't thinking about it then couldn't get it down again the rest of the day when i was trying. I'm sure i was thinking about getting my knee out rather than just concentrating on good upper body position.

It was a blast definitely doing it again when i have the cash! Just wish my lil' nakid SV had the top end speed at the end of the front and back stretch.

So, Del is an amazing rider. I have NO question that he can out ride me any day of the week. However, I do have a great quote from him about when he blew the entry into T7:

"I realized that I hadn't done any braking by the 100 mark. I thought about bending it in, but I figured that I wasn't there mentally, so I just shot through the dirt and skipped T8." Another instructor, Mike, replied, "Do you really think you could have tipped it in without any braking by the 100 mark?!?!" Del, "I had slowed down enough by the 0 mark that I think I could have, but I didn't feel like it."
