Make sure you stick to the B/C Group... gets pretty dicey out there the day before a Big Race Weekend.

Went down to a 43t... talked to Mark Bothe and he said if I went with that I'd basically be running the same thing he is (ratio-wise). I picked up 3-4 secs at both ORP and PIR.

wow! 3-4 seconds!??! Down from a 15/45 to a 15/43 and you got that big of a difference? Where do you think you're picking up the time? (My fat ass on my bike wasn't able to top out in the straight at stock gearing..I'm guessing dropping 2 would make it even harder). . .are you having to shift less, and picking up time there or?

I was running a 47t... fun for the street but sucked ass at PIR when I hit the straights. In 5th I redline just as I'm getting to the braking point for Turn 1 so I don't touch 6th. And yes there's less shifting needed, especially at ORP. I still don't use 1st gear but I'm staying in 2nd thru 5th longer than I use to. You should give it a go... good times.
