Who's signing up?

I know its early...but with our track season ending just around the corner...I wanted to see who was planning on starting their novice season next year.

i would love too but i don't think i will have the $$ too and i am still waiting to get my shoulder surgery.
Maybe i can just go up and hang out in someones pit

This is pretty much the real reason... lots of $$ for the track. I'm going to get some titanium parts taken out of my arm n leg this winter-ish which is also lots of $$.

In! Working on getting the necessary equipment …like tire warmers, generator, skins, transponder, truck, trailer, front and rear stands, spools, rear sets, size large balls. The list goes on

I know what you mean. I spent near 20k for this season. Last year I spent about 8k. 2010 should be way less unless I pile my skooter.

Im in! I have been trying for join for the past 2 years but something always came up. Especially since I have the dyno now, I will have a great excuse for the wife. "Its not racing honey, its advertising"

Not sure how its going to turn out with the R1 on the track. If I had the money, I would love to buy a set-up R6. BUT, I will be out there

im done with my novice stuff...i didn't bother turning in the paperwork to get evaluated though, so i gotta do that and corner work the first round...then onto expert

as for actually moving, we'll see if i can find a job somewhere in the northwest after school

well, we'll see. Depends how school goes...gotta go where i can find a job, if i can find a job. although, if i do find a job i want to get a few WERA rounds in. hoping to stay in the pacNW but we'll see

Maybe. Maybe 2011. Now that I have a trackworthy bike, I can take track days a little more seriously and try to get comfortable in a race environment before I actually try to compete. The F4i is my only means of transportation right now, though, so I'm also thinking about getting a beater track bike for cheap that I can make mistakes on and learn to work on. Maybe. Sounds expensive!

You can pick up a cbr f2 super cheap. Great bike and practically bullet proof.

This is a route more novices should pursue. The Senior Bike class or a 650 twin class.

Best beginner, novice bikes out there. Not a lot of money. Good competition and can hone the skill-set without breaking the bank over the race year. SV's can run a set of tires for 2-3 race weekends if you do it right and the older 600's can be dirt cheap for initial start-up, you still get the slightly higher track speeds than a 650 twin.

After a couple of years acquiring the knowledge base, move up to a newer bike and go for the #1 plate.

Working on getting the RC ready this winter. I planned on riding track this year but summer weather was off the hook and wakeboarding was priority.
