Reference points!!! Help!
Question for Track Day riders.

Do you use reference points for braking and for turning in all 9 of PIR's turns?

OK, I have 2 questions.

Do you ride in A, B, or C class?

We go over this in our New Racer School. Every rider needs to find their own reference points. These should always be stationary objects. It can be as simple as a sign, crack in the pavement, bump, etc. You need repetition. As your speed increases you need to adjust or even get new 'markers'.

Setting reference points should be one of the first things you do and it dosen't matter how fast you are. Consistency is the key to getting faster. Oh, and I'm an A group rider.

I have found good (for me) reference points for all the turns at PIR except 4, 7 and 8. I have a brake point for 7, but no specific turn point.

I'm a newer B rider. (read-slow, but hey, I'm old as dirt)

I'm betting that 99% of A class, 66% of B class and 33% of C class use reference points in all 9 turns.
