Rhino lined race fairings?
So at a track day a while back this year there was a guy in my group on an R6 that used a spray can rhino liner type thing on the outside of his track fairings.

He went down, they certainly hit, yet just had a lil scrapes, nothing broke at all on them.

Not really practical for actual racing, but anyone ever seen someone else do this for just a casual track bike?

My fairings are spray painted with truck bed coating. It looks good from more than 10 ft. away (see profile pic)

I saw some guys in FL with fuzzy bathroom carpeting all over their fairings, this might cushion the impact even better?!?

Duct tape paintjob. Lighter than Rhino Line, just as durable, easier to repair. Looks ok too

(Seriously, that's 100% duct tape)

I've heard and seen Rhino lining work pretty well actually. The ones I have seen are the roll on variety though. It is really heavy though, but if you're not riding at a record setting pace or anything, then why not.

Yeah, Chris keeps the Duct Tape companies in business with his frequent use of the product, thus they were able to expand their offerings. Plus they wanted to accomidate him for when he decided to paint his bike another color.
