| Novice Racer | THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!! I really want to thank everyone who participated in this event. I learned a lot, but over all, I think everything went great! Huge shout out to the riders that braved the weather, and rode....that's what it is all about. I would like to also thank Tom Young with Competition Motors for providing tire and trackside support. The medics were thankfully bored all day, no roll outs for them! Delanay and crew did an excellent job of track marshaling, and corner working.... Phil, thanks again for coming by, and handling tech, I really appreciate it. Had plenty of control riders, I was so amazed at the generosity of these guys spending their day at the wet track. Couldn't ask for a better group of guys. Jerry and Jason did a great job! Cyndy and Bob braved the wet and mud to capture photos, thank you!!!!! Again, thank you everyone, even if I didn't mention you here, I really appreciate your help! Stay tuned for the next one!!!!! ![]() Last edited by Real Fast Travis; 05-24-2012 at 07:10 AM.. |

Though wish I had come to hang out with all the cool kids, but I had something else going on and only dry riding would have made me forego it. Not concerned about my $200 paid promptly when I signed up. Rather be dry and safe than wet and cold – after all I am warm blooded from the Islands where it is 95 degrees average! Ha ha ha…so fuck off Doody! Lol. |

| Señor verde Joined: Mar 2011 From: Kirkland I Ride: behind the girls. | Top 10 List (well ok, first 10 that came to mind) for my first PIR day. 1) Glad I wasn't part of that "pussy" group. Wish I could tell you it's because I have Guy Martin size balls, but the truth is... flopping a leg over the bike was the only way I could think of to drain the water out of my boot. 2) I sooooo totally met my goal of not letting Mr. Doody lap me more than 10 times... by going to the pits for a sammich after the 10th time. 3) I would have totally joined Rick for lunch, but the entrance he took to the T7 Cafe looked sketch to me. 4) Who was that guy in the white and orange suit that kept passing me coming out of T9? He sucked a bunch of paint off my bike on his way by... and I want it back! 5) I'm not lying bukwld! Mr. Doody really was looking for some fuckin noob with a yellow fender. 6) Gannon, trust me on this... you really can go around the track faster when your handle bars are actually attached to your bike. 7) Where was that Melbs guy? I sooo wanted to see if I could go give that youngster some shit without getting my ass kicked. 9) Andrew... dick! 10) I peeled off part of my tech sticker flying down the straight. Yipeeiokiyay I be a fast mothafucker... oh wait, it was kind of soggy. Nevermind. |

Truth be told, I hadn't been on a track in a few years, and this was the best time I've ever had and Doody did an awesome job towing me around a lap or two and showed me some great lines.

Truth is I kept expecting to see you out on the track... I shoulda just came to your pits. My loss. I WILL do a better job next time and we'll ride. |

Probably the safest trackday I've been to which is amazing considering the conditions, riding levels, and tires. Travis it was great to meet you and thanks for letting me be a part of the day. My only regret was not getting around to put some more real names and faces to the PNW profiles. Jerry |

It was nice to meet you out there. Thanks for putting the time in to control riding - you sure had some seat time that day! Also, just for the record I think your bike sounds better with the internals blown out of your exhaust ![]() Last edited by KNanthrup; 05-23-2012 at 04:00 PM..

I learned how difficult the rain makes it to take photos, the focus and lighting were constantly changing. On the other hand, be sure to check Bob's site. He actually moved around the track and got some fantastic shots! ![]() |
