Lots of passing areas, like A LOT of passing areas.

Too bad it's just so far away, I'd love to come watch the races there, although there's really not much to watch compared to Pacific. It would be cool if they put stands on the inside of 5 and outside of 10.

It was definitely a good day.

Some thoughts...
T3 and T4 bit more than a few people. It's a section of track that draws you in, making you think you can go faster and faster... then the exit of T4 magically disappears and you have nothing but dirt. Late apexing is the key to MOST of the corners at the Ridge. When you ride it, even if you've ridden it before, take it easy for a few sessions so you can develop a rhythm.

The new paddock area is huge, and had more than enough room for 100 participants.

The track has some concerning spots.. especially when you pick up the pace. What first seemed wide and forgiving is actually narrow, fast and leaves little room for error. It's one of the coolest tracks I've ridden, and like any track, it has characteristics that need to be learned before you'll be winning races. I predict 1:3Xs this coming weekend.

I just finished cleaning up the bulk pictures. Went from >2000 down to just under 1500. I'll attempt to put them up at www.optimum-performance.org. Just need some time since the day job gets in the way. Again, thanks to everyone for making it happen. Every single person is a volunteer. That combined with an awesome motorcycle community will allow OPRT to continue to offer programs like these track days.

Shoot me a PM and we'll see what days need additional volunteers.

The track is only .25mi longer than Pacific and its faster than Pacific, so once the race mix is down and Ross gets some time on the track, Ill put the track record inside of 1:30.
