| Novice Racer | Awesome day left the track with my bucket of knowledge and skill just a little fuller yesterday fighting the winds all day was a little challenging , this was the first time on a set of real track tires pirelli superbike pro's even though they say you shouldn't need tire warmers I still gave them about two laps to warm up good , but I was getting so much more lean angle out of them than the Q2's by the second session I found myself dragging knee in 2, 4, 5, 6, 11, 13, 15,and by the end of the day 12 and 14 my goal isn't to always drag knee through the turns , its just that I felt I had so much grip that I could take the corners a little faster and push it just a little more , only lost traction once yesterday going through turn 12 , took just a little different line through turn 12 and as I was throttling out the back spun up a bit and slid it through , I didn't panic , just maintained my body position and stopped giving it more throttle and waited for the tires hooked right back up this was a first for me and I think I did a good job handling it after that session I needed to adjust the rear tire pressure just a little no more slip n slide ![]() I wish I had more footage of yesterday but both my Contour's were acting funny and I was only able to record 3 min of a session the whole day oh and I burnt through my left toe slider lol good thing I brought another set Last edited by Gotama; 06-10-2012 at 07:47 AM.. |

I don't know what kind of arrangement Mark DeGross has with God, but he sure gets special treatment when it comes to weather at The Ridge. Don't you just love it when you're pushing your bike/tires right to that edge........................You know where if I push just a bit more I'm going down??? Then Mark and Rob go by waving and laughing in their helmets. ![]() |

| Peg Dragger Joined: Jan 2007 From: Seattle, WA I Ride: '06 GSX-R600 | I had a little get off too and my bike decided to go park itself on the other side of the track. Not much damage done thought. Sore neck/shoulder muscles because I think I landed on my head (need a new helmet). And my right side Vortex rear set mounting bracket needs to be replaced. Overall, pretty easy get off. http://youtu.be/ksDDZO3mNY0?hd=1 |

I had fun chasing you down a couple sessions earlier too. Get a real bike and I'd bet we all would have some real fun.![]() You fell at the top of the Ridge(13) near the end of the day right? | |

I bought this for a hell of a lot less than what I was going to invest into a supersport engine for the cbr! (After money from parting the honda out of course). SDS Quoted me $3700 for a supersport build because of the price of Honda parts. :( I was the slow guy in Expert trying to figure out the -1/-5 gearing on this 750. |
