I just wanted to say another big THANK YOU to all the PSSR folks, vendors and volunteers including the Ridge staff.
I was there on Saturday at this great facility. It was nice to meet some really nice people from this forum and match faces with names.
This was my first event in the A group and I must say it was awesome. I was a little apprehensive at first about running in this class but I think I did fine.
Great seeing all the KTM's on the track at the same time

I should have some video soon.

Want to thank PSSR for putting on a well organized event. TOo bad mother nature didn't co-operate on sunday.

Saturday was great, first time riding in Group A, it was a blast, I apologize to anyone who I might have held up.

Maybe one more visit to the ridge before end of the year.

I had a blast Sunday, PSSR puts on a good event. Of course, it's not hard to keep things organized and running smoothly when 3/4 of the people have packed it in by lunch.

I think there were probably less than 10 of us still riding by 3:00. I was surprised to see so many people not riding and taking off early; don't all you Pacific Northwest track riders have spare wheels with rain tires mounted?

Despite the crappy weather, I was having tons of fun. I think The Ridge may just be the most fun track I have ever ridden. All the elevation change and variety of turns makes it a joy to ride. Normally a 20 minute session is enough to tire my out, but I was staying out for 35 minutes at a time on Sunday because I just couldn't stop.

Thanks Al and Tom for welcoming all the Canadian's to their event. Too bad for the wet weather. That fist session on Sunday was so nice on a dry track and then it rained and rained and rained and then some more rain fell. But no one can control the weather.

Great event, well organised, safe and a pleasure to deal with.

It was nice to run with PSSR again, even though I only was able to get out for the rainy Sunday event. Due to the wet conditions, I spent my track time working on smoothing out my body movements during steering, braking, and acceleration. Given that I was riding at a slower pace compared to dry conditions, I was also able to get a better view of the start/end of the braking zones to help with my mental preparations for future track days.

Ended up leaving after the 3:00pm combined A/B session as my suit and gloves were getting pretty wet. Even with all of the rain, I still had a fun time, talked with some old track day friends, and met some new fellow track day riders.

Not much to add that hasn't already been stated by others:

** Props to Tom, Al and the rest of the PSSR gang for running a great event.

** Thanks to Rod P. for letting us come and play on his awesome track.

** Curses on Mama Nature for the wet Sunday conditions.

All things considered, I had a great time.
I hope I wasn't too big of a C-Group roadblock on my 28-year-old, skinny-tired Ninja.

To put a silver lining on things, the wet conditions offered a very useful exercise in working on smoooooth control inputs. It was actually kinda fun, once you got used to the reduced traction.
I felt bad/sorry for all the guys with slicks mounted, and couldn't get out...That would suck.

The drizzle started to lighten up around 2:45. Few folks were left, so it was pretty much an 'open track' after 3:00.
Around 3:30, I went out in drying conditions, and had a great, flowing, "in-the-zone" run of around 10 laps...maybe 3 other bikes on the track...it was a sweet capper to the weekend.

Can't wait for next year.

I wondered if I might be an obstacle as well, but it really seemed to be a big variety of riding out there. I think with pssr spacing us, all the room on the track, it made it easy for speedy guys to navigate.

I had the time of my life, despite my get off early on. Thanks to all of you.

Here's one of my vids, this might be round 6 though? Not sure who was on the Panigale, Mike? Had a great time trying to play catch up.
I had a little get out on the rear towards the end that made me kick it down a few notches for the rest of the day. I am assuming a combination of a little early on the throttle and worn tires. I also found the tires to be 3-4 psi higher than on the warmers after I was pushing on them pretty hard. Comments, questions or concerns are always

I was at the straightaway wall, watching you tear a hole in the wet track.
It was good. Made my day, watching a REAL rider bomb around that track in the wet, having a good time.

Your glass is way more than half full.

Oh, so that was you tearing it up on the KTM sumo, looked like you were having a fun time.

Seeing you out there made me wish I brought my 650 sumo as I was too timid to push the S1KRR that hard in the rain on tires that were a little ragged out.

You are correct! It was damn slick; if I was on my beater R6 I would have been tip toeing a lot more.

Were you running rain mode on the bimmer? How was it?

It was fun riding with you in the rain Ted, I had the SV1000 I wanted to stay out longer but my front tire was telling me not to. Get that TL going and I can chase you around all day next time.

Yeah, I was running in rain mode to soften the throttle response. My bike is a base model without traction control or ABS so I had to rely on my right hand like everyone else with the "old school" technology.

As I was taking it easy and concentrating on body positioning, I didn't really notice any sliding around, except for a little slippage when riding through the water that had formed near the apex for turn 9.
