travel kit portable bottles work perfect. Safeway has them for around five bucks a pack.

Yes the braces and mx pants are fine I doubt you will need acatch can on the DRZ but they are easy peasy to make

I Ride: fast, except on the road.
I'll probably come out and watch on Sunday, looks pretty cool. But mostly dirt, as the red and green are dirt, only the blue is pavement. I would almost run knobbies, but dirt track tires or rains would be good? An MXer with a DT rear and a dual sport front might be the ticket, but you might warp the front rotor with the heavy braking?

all you need for catch can is a bottle with a hole drilled into it

Reroute the radiator overflow to discharge onto the rotors - water cooled brakes!

I agree though, tire choice will make or break this. I'm leaning way from street tires unless something changes.

Thanks for the thread Debi. I just learned the newbi leason of location, location, location. I missed the TRACK TIME thread and obviously, this is the place to post. Good job!!

So, just for the hell of it, here is my 2 cents from all those other places that I've posted.

MEGA MOTO - Evergreen Motorcross Park, Monroe WA. Sept. 22, 2012

Here is a great opportunity for the Moto community to come together and party. Make this a ride destination. Make this a first race if you’ve never done this kind of thing. Make this a family day at the track. Make it a singles party or a couples date, what ever! Just come on out and enjoy. This is an awesome venue!!!!

It’s a, “race what you brung,” weekend. If you only have nobbies, or if you only have moto slicks, it doesn’t matter. There will be something for everyone.

Go to www.evergreenmotocrosspark.com for more info.

Quotes from EMXP Face book; . . . . . “BEST OF THE NORTHWEST....Calling all northwest riders looking for the title for best amateur rider in the great pacific northwest. . . . . . . .saturday pit party surprise. We will be giving away some really cool moto stuff. Stay tuned more to come****”

“Remember Superbikers on wide world of sports, The best from moto, dirt track and road racing. Before supermoto.. I want to bring it back to the speedway. Need some feedback*****”

Last week I went out for a practice and one of the owners chatted with me for a bit about the race. These guys are super motivated and top of the hill enthusiastic about making our sport the best it’s ever been in the NW.

Early this year, when the track opened, I made it to the first week of practice. I talked with the track owners about racing supermoto. A few other SMX racers did too. It was difficult to get EMXP to start something going because they didn’t see the interest from other SMX’rs to make it worth their time and expense to build us a track. Well, here is our opportunity to show how important our 2 wheeled machines are to all of us.

It’s a, “race what you brung,” weekend. If you only have nobbies, or if you only have moto slicks, it doesn’t matter. There will be something for everyone.

Thanks for posting the classes. There are a lot to choose from. Guess I'll have to sign up for at least 2 classes. Might you know, if we have a supermoto seat up, are we limited to the Supermoto class, or is everything supermoto and if we run knobbies, are we limited to just the Knobby class?

Just from reading the list of classes, it looks to me that the knobby class is knobby only, the Supermoto class is 17" wheels only, but everything else is open wheel/tire choice? I could be wrong, but that is what it looks like to me?

It also seems like the only actual racing will be Saturday, with practice on Thurs., Fri., and Sunday. I plan to be there Fri for practice, at least, and maybe Sunday? Anybody going to run Thursday afternoon?

The way i've read this is that SMs and MX setups will be racing against each other in all classes other than the 17" only class.

Certainly the 450 and unlimited classes are this way as denoted in the class list.

Oops beat me to it.
