Since this thread is sorta polluted already.

Rick be sure to read Section B of the WMRRA rulebook.

http://www.wmrra.com/rules.html#Sec-B

Specifically section 2 which reads:
“ Quote:
Washington State residents must purchase a WMRRA full membership, or a single-event license, in order to participate in WMRRA events.
Since you live in Spokane I presume you are a Washington State resident. This means you need to follow this rule. If you are going to run a couple of events with WMRRA I am going to guess the full membership is going to be cheaper but I don't know the cost of a single-event license.

Yeah I know, but when your a good semeritan and don't get pulled over no one knows the wiser hahahaha.

I have lived in Washington since July 2006 so what is that 7 months now. One of these days I will get around to getting a Washington license just hasn't happened yet.

To get kind of back on topic here, Anyone know the Bridgestone tire pricing??

I remember being in my first expert race where I ended up falling behind the couple of guys I was battling with (for last place or something. ) (I have an excuse....my left ankle was screwed) and here I am going down the front straight full throttle at like a 130+ and Ross Delong blows by me like I am sitting still. *That* was
lol I'm not sure I remember you. Most seem to 'know' me since there are not many women actually doing track days, and now racing, but it's kinda hard to put a name to a face with so many dudes in leather! That was a nice compliment, but I know I still have a long way to go. I can't wait to get out there!! If Nico is right, and I'm not arguing he's wrong, I don't WANT to be going into T2 with the rest of the novices. Maybe I'll wait a few races before registering early. To get a feel for things. I know people are gonna get "hurt". I'm not naive enough to think otherwise. I just hope people won't be stupid, and make poor choices, when they are not 'expert' yet and still need seat time on the track to improve.
Ross Delong is FAST! Not to mention a super cool guy. He's helped me numerous times at track days. Dang, I would not wish to be passed by him. I'm only gonna be pushing 130 on the straight as well.... so yea, I think I'm gonna be getting passed.

Not Ironic, he choose it on purpose and from what I know he is a Christian as well.

Also have 316 Geoffrey Lambert, he runs a service ever Sunday at the races.

There are a number of us Christian racers out there.

Well, 9hp can be alot...

But I do weigh 205#'s plus my gear...

Of course, you'll have to do alot better than 1:42's to beat me though.
Even if its raining...

So why are there all these 800 numbers?? If they are Graduated Novices then why do they still have 800 numbers? You think the 800's would be empty at the start of every season.

There are some who competed their 6 heats at the end of last season. They still need to run yellow plates for a couple rounds until they they are granted expert status.

Very interesting question as that isn't specifically addressed in the rules.

Shellie told me last year she would let the person register for an expert license instead of a graduated novice license. I'm sure my wife will have the same opinion as she is taking most of her cues from Shellie.

In years past you would have to run the entire next season as a graduted novice with yellow plates and a 800 number.

Graduated Novices run 800 numbers and you are a graduated novice for the rest of the season in which you graduate in. Returning novices also run 800 numbers.

OK so the Novices that didn't grad last season now are 800 numbers. This is starting to make sence now I think!

Yes, that's correct. All returning novices are #800 at the start of the season. New novices as they graduate (earliest would be July, unless they are stupid good) will receive 800 numbers and run yellow/800 the remainder of the season.

Just be cool, learn to ride the track in race conditions, and you'll be fine.

No points for winnning the novice race.

I keep trying to remind people that novice is FUN!!
Once in a lifetime FUN!!!.

Not something to "Get Through" so you can start your GP career.

Make friends and have fun!!! Novice is sooo much fun. Your first grid is really something. WAHOOO!!!!!

Learn how to pass or get passed.

Learn about the whole race experience.

Just a little reminder, a fast novice will usually run around a 1:36 (mabye a 1:35) That will not get you on the podium of a 650SS race and puts you in the back of the middle in any Inline class.

The key is to learn, exprience and have fun. The lap times will drop with seat time...

That's a great reminder. I'll try to make sure I'm having fun, or else there is no point.

Adrock.... didn't know you were racing this year. I thought Jenny said you were gonna wait. But cool!
