All set for next Wed. I'll be out there on the DRZ as the SV isnt done yet.

Anybody else coming out to play in the rain?

I'll be out there on my RC51. It still has the rain tires on it from my last 2Fast track day last fall....

I was wondering what the deal is with spectating...can I just show up and watch and hang out? Is there a fee? I would be happy to sign away my first born or anything like that. Please somebody let me know!!! Thank you in advance.

No thanks. I did a rainy track day last September. While it was fun, there were accidents all day long. Typically, one per session.

I going to wait for the weather to be a little more reliable.

Good luck and keep the rubber side down!

You can come out and watch no problem...no cost.

That was probably the last track day I did. But my RC just sits in the garage all winter so I want to get some seat time even if its wet.

Get some rain tires and you won't have anything to worry about.

I have rain tires

They are some older Dunlops with the block tread but are OK. Next time I would like some of those Michelins. Last Sept the Dunlops were all Rick had left.

Get the new Dunlops from Barry - he'll set your bike up for them just right

Plus, he sells a 195/75 rear.

How are the 2fast track days? How is their instruction?

I had an F3 about 5 years ago that I sold to help pay for school and I just recently got another bike...05 CBR600RR.

Now looking back I realize just how little I actually learned on that F3 and just how much of a Squid I was (Very little gear, hauling ass through traffic etc...)

Now that I'm a little older and wiser (I Hope) I really want to get my bike on the track and get some good instruction.

Come on out, I did my first track day with them and learned a ton!!! DOOO EEET

maybe wait till its a little nicer though...I am pretty sure its going to be wet and the track will be green anyway...

I just checked the 2-Fast site and 300 is booked but 100 and 200 still have spots. Usually its the other way around. It must be the racers wanting to get their bikes sorted before the season starts.

I'll be there, rain or shine, but it looks like rain. My bike will be the half primer, half painted, half everything else bike. It's gonna look crazy I know, but it's not done yet. The rain put a damper on my painting efforts. :(

Chris will be out there with his revamped 900ss, so will Phillip who did a little suspension and exhaust work to his TL, and I'll be there as well...I managed to get the oil changed.

Yeah great day. Dry all day and the track was in good shape too. And not too many crashes. Just one in my group with two bikes into the turn 7 airfence. About as good as it gets for March!

I was trying out some Michelin Pilot 1200/1800 17" slicks on my RC just because my DOT Pilot Race tires hadn't arrived yet and I found a decent deal on these. The slicks were pretty good. Slightly better or the same as the Pilot Race tires. They took a couple of laps to warm up though. The first lap they were pretty slippery.

Quite a few motards out there. My friend Rolf was running his KTM motard and having a blast.

All in all we got really lucky with the weather...for a change!
