Sounds like a great time to test the C1 at MMP in early May. I just flew in from 115 degree track temps at Fontana the week before so I am sunburned and now I am cold. But this is the C1 we're talking about so I am still smiling in the midst of it. And then Sunday rolls around. The clouds have blown through over night and the sun comes out...and in walks AMA racer Shane Turpin with his 1098s. He's been out giving people 2-up rides and riding like a man possessed. He hands over the keys to Michael and lets him take it out for a few laps. Michael pits back in, "Nice bike, wanna try mine out?" OH WOW. With the weather being so nasty all week Michael hasn't really had a chance to really put the hammer down on the C1 and really race it. We've had a guy chasing Michael on a ZX10R that knows the track well and has been doing some chase cam footage, so he thinks he has the C1's number and keep pace with it. But this is Shane Turpin and this is Millers Motorsport Park...Shane's home track, and this is the C1 with a slew of new updates. The results? Not even funny, by the third corner the ZX10R was already lagging behind and by the 5th corner the on bike footage from the ZX10R doesn't even show the C1 anymore, Shane was gone. 2 laps go by and Turpin pits in and is laughing. So much for the race footage, we shoulda rented a helicopter. More photos and the video from the on bike cam with Turpin here: http://www.motoczysz.com/main.php?ar...turn_path=home |
