Nope. I stuck around up here to try out some changes that Ross made to my bike at the end of the day Saturday. Plus I needed to work on my shifting into T3 with the new gearing. Was able to play with Mike, Dan Chancy, and Allister on Sunday too which was fun.

I'm ready for the May race weekend now!

Why is my name always left out of the list? Are you ashamed of me, Nico?

Apex points are different for different bikes too, so that might confuse matters for some.

I've found the best way is to just follow the faster riders and pay attention to their apexes (apexi?). Perferably someone on the same bike.

There's a white line that works pretty nice when only the racing line is dry. I liked following that one.

Well I was out there on Saturday for a few sessions on a SV doing 39's just fine without using that "mad swooping" line.

Ian Draycott was out there all day not using it too. :

But you go right ahead and continue thinking ya need it.

You're saying racers took lines that let people dive underneath them on brakes all the time, doesn't add up.

It does add up. The "fastest line" may be a swooping line but it isn't always the "racing line." You come in way wide for a turn, guy behind you comes into the turn on the inside and stuffs you. He's not going to take the corner as fast as you were about too but it doesn't matter, he's in front of you now. I think the most notable corner for this is 3. But what do I know? Answer: Only the lies Daryll tells me.

Racing line is a swooping line is what's being proclaimed.

Since we are on lines. Thanks Nico for showing me a great line through 5,6&7. You and your "friend" were the only bikes I saw that session.

No worries. That was a guy that I was helping get around the track a bit better. He needed to tighten up his lines a bit so I jumped in front and was leading him around.

the lines I showed will allow you to go much faster through T5 (even faster than we were going) but you need to work your way up to it. When you're going well through that section, you will only be grabbing downshifts into T5 and maybe a scooch of brake. People overbrake that corner too much. Also remember, you should be on the gas between 5 and 6 before you trail it into T6. This will give you some additional time. Too many people swing out wide for T6 and its completely unnecessary. You can get the line into T7 just fine off of a tight T6 line.
