I Ride: Anything that "Returns the Favor"
Lap Timer Recommendations ?
I finally thought of something for the bike I can ask for for x-mas without feeling guilty!

Do I want the XT Racing set up?

Other manufacturers?

TIA, Zach

Get an AIM MyChron; and make sure you use their velcro to mount it. Do not rigidly mount them to your bike......

Cause if you do the screen just vibrates black and you can't read them. I had a fork mount thingy and that sucked!

XT and AIM are both good. I've had them both. I currently have an AIM mounted with a bracket that slips over the top of the fork tube...works great, easily readable, not sure why the other guys said not to do it.

FYI: The AIM timer and XT timer will both pick up the standard XT or AIM beacon. What they won't pick up is the split beacons....but you need a standard beacon to act as start finish so you'll still get your full lap times.

The fork tube bracket will destroy the lap timer eventually. Even the Aim guys will tell you NOT to use them.
