Very sticky in the wet too and warm after the first 10 feet. Just don't expect them to last more than about 3k miles. SVJ you should know, heh. Only like 105 tucked bouncing the rev limiter. |

Now I have recently put on Pirelli Scorpion Syncs...I _still_ think that I like the Distanzias better...but I am enjoying testing the limitations of the Scorps. just my 2 cents... |

One of the first things I did change was dumped the stock Dunlops and got Distanzia's, SM compound. Road the stockers for awhile, green dot in cascades and some high dessert stuff near Coulee City WA. So was able to get a decent comparison and noticed a nice improvement off road with Distanzias. You cant expect significant improvement on dirt (mud and really lose sand are challenging) but I think this tire is a great tire for what I ride. 80% street 20% off road. They rock on the road. Very sticky. |

Bike's all fixed. Ordered front and rear black KTM plastic but the rear came as the 04, which is different from 05/06. Oh well. Here she is with a black front; I think I like it better orange, or if i leave it black, the upper part needs to be black too. I finally got the bike all back together, and it felt great. Huge props to my father whos THE dirtbike mechanic ![]() ![]() |

I laced the wheels myself, and did all of the install - I like this bike for so many reasons, not the least of which is that its a Honda (reliable and well built), its a 650 (which is like the minimum engine size I feel comfortable with on if I have to go on the freeway), and I like to pick and choose exactly what components go on- more interesting than buying a stock sm - but I'm picky :-) Mainly this bike is a great canyon carver...as well as a terrific daily rider! I ride it more often than any other of my bikes, simply b/c its so easy... ![]() ![]() |

I can finally join this thread... here's what I picked up on Saturday: ![]() The bike is stock, with exception of the seat, fender eliminator, and axle sliders. It has under 2500 miles on the ticker. I'm going to pick up a set of tires and a Yoshi RS2 this week, and get it on down to the dyno for a baseline. My sweet deal even came with the JD jets, so I can be set to rock-'n'-roll when the pipe comes in. W00T! |
