Anybody run a buisness with a nice open parking lott...
maybe 60-80 ft across.

Closed on Sundays would be perfect !!!

I'll show up with my pushbroom and sweep the entire section that I use... leave it nice and clean for ya.

I need to do some circles at about 30mph...

There is a pretty big empty parking lot right by the Church I serve on 4th Plain in Orchards. Across the street from the old A&W behind the old interior design store. Bring a broom!

If you score a spot like the one Mark recommended, after you have your fun, it might be fun to have a "Day of circles" event where we could pick up some pointers from you Guru's of the twisties.

check out the old QFC parking lot at NE 162nd and NE 18th Street..or Evergreen HS at NE 137th Ave and NE 18th Street..I'd stick with the QFC though too many people likely to call the man about "those damn kids again" if you're at the HS

Thanks for the ideas all. I'll check out a couple of them...

NOTE: roundabouts are a bad idea (imho) just because "careless / reckless driving" is a little too subjective, depending on the officers mood / point of view.

I'm hoping to find someplace where one of us is the owner or manager or whatever...
...so if our friends in blue show up, we can tell 'em that we have the owner's/manager's permission to be there.

At that point there is very little they can say.

If however we just show up someplace, even if it's not being used... we're still tresspassing.

I know it's not a big deal, I would just rather not give them a reason to hastle us, if we don't have to.

But thanks for the ideas, keep em' coming...

I think my church parking lot might be a little small, and I only have 3 weeks left as Pastor there... so you would be on your own with the sheriff.

My denomination (United Methodist) has asked me to start a new congregation in Vancouver that is pretty different than the way churches typically function, so a new pastor will be coming to serve Orchards United Methodist starting 7/1, and i will start working on building a congregation that "does church" differently in Vancouver. So until things get rolling i may be able to join a few Sunday rides

Thing about the fairgrounds, you have stripes painted in and its where the classes are for motorcyles so if you are seen there, no problem. Just no hooliganizm. I heard too this is where WSP evil knievels practice too.maybe?

Wasn't the early success of the Methodist church based on small groups and less traditional practices?
