Gusgus is back and leaving for Spokane!
My bride and I are leaving in the morning for points east.

We are gonna slab it (if 84 is slabbin it) to Spokane and meet up with Fastfoodfred and I hope on the way back to meet Rippn in Moses Lake.

But we are willing to meet anyone at Sheri's on Mill Plain just east of 205 at 10 ish.

We might miss bike night as 2 nights away is our plan. one night in Spokane and the second near Seattle. Somewhere......

But any part of the ride would be nice to see others join us or simply meet us.

I know I haven't given anyone much notice, but we just figger'd we would, now that I am back for a few hours....Ha ha ha , gotta love being me!

PM me for my phone number and we can have a beverage of your choice.

Let me know if you are another one I owe a beer to, cause I am old and would not want you to go through life thinking I don't pay my debts.

Yep my bikes fit me, the little "Trudy" not so well.

I am itchin for the summer I have missed while across the country. I know it seems like I should be filled with riding, but it just aint the same as here from home. I really missed home.

Plus I am gonna meet some of the guys and gals I have wanted to buy brews for in Spokane and Moses Lake, and Seattle. That is our route, kinda, in a nutshell kinda way.

This is gonna be a hot suma beeyotch, so it is time to ride!!!!

Thanks buddy.

Thanks but it sounds to big for an easy escape.

We have a few fer sure meetings so Post falls will not be possible.

Idaho was a home for my bride and I in the 70's so Couer D'Alene is mandatory, as is fastfoodfred, and a few others. I've owed them a brew for awhile now, gotta pay my debts.

Thanks fer the invite.

Gus

Please do...This will be an honor for me as the Northern Exposure Bar was supposed to be Alaska. This is gonna rock! I never missed a show as it made me laugh and look for similarities. It had some, no really it did.

See you all IN Moses Lake!!! well not actually in the lake, kinda beside the lake, OK?

I was a NE groupie also...truly a BIZZZARE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
When the show was over, they had a "set" auction... Ruth Ann's (RIP) HD, want for 6700.
The screamer deal, was Marilyn's (Dr. F's receptionist, for you all) kitchen table and chairs,
125.$...
The "Brick" still has the feel... but ya have to squint... as it's well back to the local Roslyn lumber jack bar... water runs thru a floor trough at the bar for spitt'n!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet Mary and I had our names chalked in on a brick wall... barely descernable now..
The food IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! and a fine selection of bev's...
Lots of tourists, and locals...
I dare ya to not hear the theme song while ya sit there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter bares quite a resemblence to "ED" on the show... I referd to here as...
"Amy Chigliac" fondly, for years...
Hopefully we can hang around ML long enough, for some more of the PNW to get off work. gear up and hit it w/ US, "unencumberd on friday" pups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!
FREE and clean, Ripp'n

Why do I always miss the good ones? Oh right, because I ignore my phone and don't check email and stuff much.

Gus, are you still around?

Man, 2 days of calling you! 2 days?

Yes we were there, now we are in Seattle.

Saw Rippn and Skygrin in Moses Lake and then rode with Rippn to Rosyln, the Northern Exposure town.

Man I am sad I missed you.

We had an issue getting there.

None of the other guys were there either, so we saw no one in Spokane.

We were an hour late.

You see we ran out of gas. Yep The old Valkyrie used more fuel than I was expecting and we were in the Dalles. 100 degrees and smoking hot and we coast to a stop. Normally a bike rider would simply select "reserve" this is where the story takes an evil turn.

I haven't a clue which way reserve is, but I did know I was in the on position. So I selected one direction and the fuel filter (glass) filled. Yippee! I thought......It was short lived as the bike would run, but on maybe 3 cylinders, it does best on all 6.

So we limped along while I racked my brain how this could be so. The GPS said it was 9 miles to the next fuel. Well this meant we ride away from the freeway (395) into some Podunk town for fuel. It quit like 20 times and we coasted to a stop. After 10 minutes it would start and run on 3. Better than pushing, I always say, so we kinda motored the old girl along the side of the road at like 20 to 30 mph.

It turned into 15 miles after the GPS (LIZA the bitch) realized she didn't have a clue where she was. Gol-der-nit!

But we limped along and I figgerd if I switched to reserve and let is remain there for a time and then switch back to on the motor ran perfectly, but I would watch the filter empty and would switch back to reserve and let it sit and back to on.

I repeated this like 50 times but kept us moving along at like 40 to 50, so things were looking up.

We made it to a fuel station under her own power. YEA!

It took 5.4, it holds 5.8. I will need to remove the tank and figger out where the .4 gallons was asnd why I couldn't use it, in other words, WTF????

But we arrived at O'Doughertys at 7:15pm. Supposed to be there at 6pm. No one we knew or would have liked to know were there. Plus parking sucked or we would have been in there at 7 sharp.

Anyway we stayed at Hampton Inn and slept well. Left today at around noon. No message from yours truly either, I was sure hoping. But westerly we went.

It's your turn now big boy!

Unless I get another wild hair. But you still need to check your messages......

I still love ya, In a manly way of course!!!!
