Also taking Cook-Underwood road breaks the Hwy 14 monotony. It looks complicated, but you just follow the road and it puts you back on 14. https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=3...3,4,5&t=m&z=12 |

| Endorsed | Got a couple of stop suggestions if you weren't already planning them: Schreiner Farms: Exotic Animals from A to Z - http://www.schreinerfarms.com/ Maryhill Museum - http://www.maryhillmuseum.org/ Both are along Hwy 14. The farm is somewhere between Lyle and Mary Hill on the north side of the road – there’s a good sized sign, which helps since there’s no address and can’t find on the map. I’m sure your wife will really like the museum (it’s really a castle) and there’s some cools stuff for guys in it as well. I’ve ridden in this are a few times and really like it. Did the Rowena curves the last time I was there. Sweet!! Like your route from Point A, same one I used from Destination Highways. Oh another stop idea to sooth your sore butt – a soak at the Carson Mineral Hot Springs. Also from Destination Highways, was going to suggest Cook-Underwood road and Old Hwy 8 but DGA and got that covered. Canyon road looks like it has some awesome twisties, but I really liked 142 since it was along the river – twisty and scenic. Last year my friends and I did both and now I can’t remember which we did first. They didn’t know the route and at the south end (of one of the roads) we looked across the river and saw the other road and said “I hope we get to ride that road too!” and we did. Love planning routes and really wanted to share something new, but not so much this time. There’s this little bit http://goo.gl/maps/qwhQ maybe for another trip. Don’t want you to miss seeing the giraffes and suits of armor. Enjoy! So wish I was closed, it’s a much longer ride coming from Kirkland! |

Unfortunately this results in about 50 miles of slabbing on 14....but I think Rowena on the way home will be worth it. This is the route TO: http://goo.gl/maps/gv6T Route back is coming shortly. |
