Home again, great ride. The traffic was light, the sun was out, and the roads were clean, for the most part. We decided to start off by heading east in WA 14 and up through Carson; so we ended up in Cougar for steaks and suds at the Cougar bar an grill.

Trayson, we just got lucky and went through the construction zones after the workers had gone home for the weekend; so no alternate route was needed. The chip seal is almost free of loose gravel and the short switchback section of 503, just south of Jack's corner, has smooth new pavement now.

Had a blast today! Thanks for being patient with me riding "cranky" (the yamahaXS400). It was great to put it through its paces. That bike hasn't been ridden that hard since 1982... if ever!

Ditto to what Dave said. Their was only one section of chip seal we encountered, and it wasn't that long, running from the intersection of 219th/182nd at the south end all the way north to the intersection at the entrance to Battleground Lake State Park. There still was a little loose gravel here and there, but it wasn't a problem.

Damn It! I knew I should have texted you, but I thought you were working.

Sorry a lot of you couldn't make it. Definitely was a great trip, and I'm sure we will be doing it again before the summer is through. Of course, we also need to do a Trout Lake run, as well as Fossil, and/or dare I say, an Aufderheide run.

Really jealous. These 14 hour graveyard shifts are starting to get to me. Working or sleeping with nothing in between doesn't sit well with me. I'm posting up for windy ridge on Tuesday. Wish me luck that I actually get some replies this time.

Getting folks to turn up for weekday rides is kind of hit or miss. Plus the Windy Ridge ride is not a short day. It is definately worth it though, tons of fun for sure.

I was wondering where you have been Patrick. The wife not letting you out lately, or working to much?

I was doing the I am out riding and you are behind the keyboard shuffle. Muhah ha ha ha. The ole CBR just hit 28k, I picked it up last April with 4,250 on it.

I've put half many miles on my Sprint in one year as I had on the 650R in 4.
