Track day?
Never been to one, anyone know what a good trackday is to attend?
I've heard of Taste of Racing or straight up track day.

Would like to go sometime. Only been to PIR (and that was to drag race a car LOL) So I have no idea what I'm getting into.

Can anyone post a website that I should follow to get ready and such?

Check out PSSR, 2fast, and OPRT. They all put on a good event and have websites that will give you plenty of information..

Only one left this year is 2-Fast at PIR next Friday. After that you are burnt until about early April unless you go to Cali.

How long have you been riding and what are you riding? What are you rocking for gear? Leathers/textile? Pants, boots, gloves, back protectors, helmet? Tires in good shape? I'd love to say dive right into a track day but I suspect a very new rider so a little background would help. TOR is a great cheap place to start to see if track time is or isn't for you.

Doesn't Motofit have a weekend at The Ridge mid October?

Not knowing the answers to these questions, my $0.02 would be to spend the winter gathering all the proper gear and start with PSSR next year. They will walk you through, step by step, what you need to do to have a successful start to your track habit.

Started last sept - so one year riding. (approx 11K+ mi on my bike)
I ride a 2007 ZX6R
I have full leather gear, with back protector, cycle boots, gloves.

Would probably get new shoes for the bike to track it. I am running pirelli diablos with about 6k on the front and 3k on the rear.

Would be wise, I suspect both tires are not track worthy with that many miles, the diablos wear extremely fast. Good luck if you go this year, if not I'll see ya out there next year.
