I saw that 1198S? pull up ....carbon fricking fiber rims....wow. My favorite was the ORANGE/BLACK ZX-14....just like my original R5 colors. beautiful ride. FTR had some cool Honda stories. Nice to see a few familiar faces. Curveaddicts 250 is the new RD. That's gotta be a blast @ around 300 lbs.

The FZ1 was VERY nicely done for a street fighter. I thought it was a factory Triumph triple at first glance. Good looking hooligan, for sure.

Thanks for showing up and i don't have to go to a dealership to gawk at some sexy rides.

Pix or it didn't happen.

I had a balmy time. After pouting about my bike not workin' right I welcomed escaping the garage and sipping a few beers and gawking at the beautiful bikes that came...

GALEN... did that parts bike have the tank and fuel pump you need?

(does Gene know anybody who might have one... you know him, if he doesn't have it - he can find it)

What about that oldbikebarn.com (or something like that) they are supposed to specialize in older jap bikes... they migh have one, or at least know who would.

We gotta get you fixed up and road worthy again!!!

EDIT: Oh crap, I forgot to give my donation for the PNW banner for the Frog. Who's taking the $$$$? Will ya be at Logan's birthday / relocated Tuesday night coffee??

Okay, I think I fixed my bike, finally! Gene Brown gave me an fzr pump to try on my bike. It seems to have done the trick! (Cross your fingers when I decide to go on a longer ride). Unless I'm just an incredibly unlucky guy, I'll be at bike night next week with my bike!

Shall we go over and wait for individuals that might show up at Firkin Frog? We live not too far from there.

What I have found at McMinnemums is that parking sucks! I think it would have been better to show at the Salmon Creek Pub. There was about 15 at a table when we met there that one night. These was additional tables and seating too. I know that if it got too busy we could always extend out to the patio dining. They were really nice. I do think that we should go ahead and leave the meeting place at McMinnemums for tonight. We could talk about it tonight.

I probably wont be able to make tonight, so I'll throw in my 2 cents It seems like bike night has gravitated to beer instead of bikes. I think we need to take note of Brady's awesome Tuesday night bike nights! They have a great crowd every Tues and its at a coffee place. They are able to sit outside, drink their drinks and drool over bikes which is great. Now, at McMenamins...there is no way they will let us go outside with beer. That is not the kind of place. I think it would be a great idea to focus on maybe a Starbucks or a coffee shop of some sort. We might get more people ......who knows

Whatcha think?

That's the regular "Tuesday Night Coffee" thread from Portland. It's over in Beaverton just off canyon and hall about a block.

I went over last week and there were about 40 bikes. We TOOK OVER the entire parking lott. (it was great)

The long ride home kinda suck (all freeway) but it was alott of fun.

Then let's go to Pete's! for Pete's Sake!

I'm out this week BTW....My Better half is at the beach with her gurly frenz this weekend so me an the kids enjoy not bathing, nerf gun fights, staying up too late watching movies and eating ice cream. I am mellowing with age.....I have stopped bringing motorcycles in the house even when she's gone.

just a thought about where bike night on Saturday could be......How about "On The Border" off of 164th. Outside seating, plenty of parking and lots of drinks types available. Just thought I would throw that out there..............

I think thats where we met up on Cinco De Mayo. The outdoor seating is in the back near 164th, parking is up front, I dont remember if there are any parking spaces on the sides to which we could see the bikes or not.

Any more thoughts on where to have Vancouver Saturday Bike Night? I was at the Fred Meyer late last night (long story...) and drove by "The Rock" they have an out door seating area and a Huge parking lot, what was the objection to meeting there? On The boarder sounds good to me I can add Pacifico and Nachos to my diet easy enough.

Nope, no good parking...

I thought of the same thing... (live right down the street) but parking there is "the suck" and the service is... hmmm, *less than great*.
(plus it's kinda $$)

Thought about the 360 pizza over by QFC also, but it's spendy and menu is limited.

That place on 99 in Haz Del might be worth a look.

McMinimums was ok I thought... (needs more chairs / tables out front though)

In our travels today, we were trying to think of a good spot to have bike night. Thought about McMennimins on the water front (positive-great patio negative-packed on Saturday nights). Baja fresh on Mill Plain & 164th (positive-serves food & beer, starbucks & coldstone all in one parking lot negative-Baja fresh closes at 9, but patio open later). Cathedral Tapatia (Bell Tower) has open patio. I am not sure what time they close on Saturdays. Large parking lot.

We should have a poll on the different places, so that we can settle soon for a place that we can call home.

Just an idea, stop in and get the head cook and bottle washer to answer one (Ok a few) question/s.

If we bring you (the restaurant) in regular customers every week, would there be a discount? Secondly, could we set up some cones for parking priority?

I will get some when I return if we can get approval.

The point I guess is if we don't ask they will never offer.......................!

Great feedback my friend.

Both of those sound good to me...

I'd give a slight nod to Baja-Fresh just cuz it's also got the cold stone (no for real this time, honest ) , starbucks, old spagetti factory, etc.. all right there. Plus the fountain thingy is kinda cool too.

There is still that place on hwy 99 that I've seen others mention (onion something? or something onion?) but I don't think I've ever been there.

EDIT: This Saturday is gonna be out in BFE at Nail's place though, *I think*

The Blind Onion Pizza & Pub on 99th wouldn't be bad, it's a nice little place in a new, mostly unoccupied retail development.

+ Large windows in the front
+ Lots of open table seating inside
+ Great Pizza and good selection of beers
+ Friendly place

* Parking near front, there's a curved section of parking spots and a landscaped area with bark dust directly in front

- Patio area is on the side and not very big, beers can't leave the railed area
- I think the menu is only pizza oriented

i was thinking the blind onion also: great pizza and lots of parking. I think Galen works real close to it if he wants to swing by and check out the seating.

I think the blind onion only has one table for outside seating. The dining room is fairly small and it gets very loud in there on busy nights. We could try it out and see, but it's a little bit small. Yeah I work a block away, so I'll check it out and see how viable it is.

Blind Onion's inside seating could get loud, I've been there when it was full of high school kids at lunch time, and mostly just noticed it getting cramped. They say Fri/Sat nights are their busiest times.

They've also re-arranged the outside seating. They got rid of the picnic tables from the railed in area and put in smaller tables, the space seems bigger and more open now, should hold about a dozen people comfortably. There is still one picnic table in the front, but it is not in the railed in section. Also the railed in section is actually in the corner, not way around the side.

Their menu also includes sandwiches and salads.

Galen does work closer to it than I do, I was just going there for lunch today anyhow.

Just thought I would throw out another idea......I don't think they have outdoor parking but what about Pied Piper on 4th Plain, ABATE does their meetings there. They have plenty of seating, windows all around the place and pretty ample parking but I don't really know how busy they are on Saturday......my guess is that they are pretty busy, like most places we are going to find. Also the blind onion does have great food........
