That's where the Vancouver Black Cats meet.
But I don't think they have outside seating, plus you're kinda stuck with pizza (great pizza, don't get me wrong... love PPP but still just pizza)

Also the blind onion does have great food........
food not really all that good.

Burgerville in Salmon creek just got their beer license -- which meets Galens requirement of beer --

we drove Mill plain the other night -- did not find much on teh east side of 205 that offered outside seating or good parking for viewing the rides.

Anyone know what we might find west of 205???

I'd give the Blind Onion an 8 out of 10. The seating was ok for the group (we grabbed a few extra chairs from inside, if the group was much larger we would be cramped i think). We were able to walk out to the bikes and back pretty easily. We kind of laid claim to parking spots in front when they opened up. The food was good, a bit limited but it is a pizza place after all. The owner (or at least i thought he was the owner maybe the manager) came out and seemed pretty friendly and glad we were there when he brought orders out. I can't imagine any of the other places on the list being any better, I'd be happy to continue meeting there. Your milage may vary...

Have fun everyone, maybe next week.

I would hate to open a night change at the same time we are looking for a new hangout.

Yes please ask and we shall see.

The important issues are, most excellent parking, outside and inside seating, BEER and good food.

Having a beer outside is important too!

Hey what about Los Jalapenos Mexican Restaurant 11711 NE 99th Street. Lots of parking where you can see the bikes right out front. Its a family run business and they are very nice. No outdoor seating but its cozy in there with lots of tables to choose from. I would vote, but so far nothing sounds interesting. So add Los Jalapenos to the mix so I can vote on something K!

Cindy....I think you are on to something here. (and not just cuz it's Arts favorite place either lol) Food is great, service is great, large picture windows looking over parking, and oh yeah...beer and margaritas. Lol
This takes mine and Arts picadillo burrito vote already!
(put it up on your poll Gusgus! Rapidamente Senor! )

yeah, dodge city really would like to get one going however they are moving the end of this month. their new spot will be the KEG on fourth plain. it should be open the end of this month also. the new location "should" have what our criteria desires. they did mention Jakes on st. john's road however sounds like it might be right for what we're looking for. i've not been to jakes in years so i don't remember much about it. charlies on 112th will do a bike night sometime soon but it takes all kinds of changes and permits for it to happen there so they can't do a regular one. if someone wants to scout jake's with me let me know or i can just hit em' sometime this week again.

Jake's no longer faces St. John's road, but rather behind and slightly N of where it sat, it now sits in a building perpendicular to the old one (facing south, so it's perpendicular to both St. James and St. Johns road now, kind of in between 'em both). I would think the parking area would be more than sufficient for a few dozen bikes.

the plan is to be there -- may just be half of the tmmr crew -- will have to see how the day goes.

May have a visitor that is getting bored in his house --- if he wants to roll his latest ride into the trailer. (hint hint)

I'm gonna be out of town this weekend, so I will have to miss this upcoming bike night.

I'm crossing my fingers for a good show of peeps for Saturday so Martin (the owner) can get a good idea of what it's like having our group in there on a Saturday (and visa versa)

Towards the end of the week, maybe there'll be an idea of how many plan to make it and we can give Martin the heads-up to expect (and reserve some areas for you )

Yes we have been moving around alot -- seems like we might have found a place to hang for awhile

it is called the MANTRA

http://www.mantrabar.com/

Suite C3
2707 NE 114th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98682
(360) 260-5111

they have sandwiches and gourmet pizzas ( for $6)
desserts $3-$6
Salads $6-8
light fare $4-8

expresso
coffees (stumptown-- i think)

Libations
about 20 differant wines
4 beers on tap and about 20 differant bottled beer.

he says he is constantly changing it up --

they have tables outside ( he is adding another one or 2)
they have a sitting area inside with couches --
so would work summer and winter --

next to the shop is a dentist office so there would be parking with easy sight of the bikes.

he is a small start up company -- so said that he ususally only has a person or 2 working -- but if we made it a permanent thing -- he could make sure he had enough coverage -- or just offer us slower service.

It seems that this fits the what every one is looking for.
family friendly -- still can get beer and munchies
outside sitting
parking
good assorment of drinks

Should we ask the mods to update the original post for Mantra? Or are we all still running around with our hair on fire trying to find the perfect place?
