Thanks. This is a good album if you just want some classic instrumentals:

Nice video!

Just a little obversation if I may.

I noticed youre shifting down the front straight at redline. Your bikes power actually peaks right around 12.5-13K rpm. Above that it actually drops off. If you stay between 11.5-13k rpm youll always be at your bike's peak HP range. the extra revs above that are for over-rev on downshifts.

Hey nice!

Good mix of music and engine noise--not over-the-top on either.

If you don't mind could you share a few things with us?

How did you get the sound without the distorting you see on others?

What do you edit with?

Thanks for posting.

I went to school for audio recording, but anyone can mix it well if they know what they are doing.

In this case, i actually did not have my usual "external mic" connected to my camcorder, so i covered the internal camcorder mic with a bit of cloth and turned "on" the windscreen option in the camera. It helped a bit, but it still had tons of wind noise. Next, i worked with some equalizing "eq". What i did is find the main "bike frequency range" and boost it a bit; then did some eq'ing to cut out some of extra frequencies.

Mixing the bike sound with the music was a matter of turning down both audio tracks so that the "combined" or "master" track is not overloaded (distortion). I find that an even volume level of motor noise and music works best, but at some points of the video I preferred just music.

i like vegas. For quick standard definition vids, Microsoft Movie Maker is as easy as it gets.

thanks for posting.
