Doesn't look good at all.... so please send your prayers and good thoughts to a rider who may really need them now... |

With the warm weather coming... everyone take a deep breath and just chill for the first few rides and for gawds sake wait till you get out of town to open it up or better yet find a track before showing us how "fast" you are. |

I am a responsible rider and I get dirty looks because of these types. I went to get insurance on my bike. $900 dollars because of this stuff. The man who sold me my bike refused to sell it a a younger rider because he didnt want him to kill himself. He was responsible. We need more like him. |

I went close to the bike I wish i had my camera handy, but the speedO was 25 feet away the front of his bike was smashed to the front forks and fuel was leaking out somewhere.ITS RIDERS LIKE JACOB BRADFORD(repsol honda guy) WHO MAKE US ALL LOOK BAD. I looked at the front page but I didnt see anything about it. when he was on the stretcher his best friend was yelling at him telling him that he told him in 2 months since he got his bike that he would either be dead or the bike would be totaled. So RIDE SAFE WEAR GEAR AND OBEY THE LAW |

| Zone Head Joined: Nov 2006 From: Walla Walla I Ride: Twisted on a 2004 Tracked Gixxer 750; 2006 KTM 450SMR | There was once a kid who bought his first road bike, it was a 600 Telefonica Gixxer, he learned how to wheelie it straight away and would ride a standing wheelie at 100mph from plaza to Walmart on the hiway every day showing off . This kid then was on a 2 stroke dirt bike on a gravel road doing the same thing wearing only a helmet, shirt and jeans, got road rash from his neck to his ankle and a lot of stitches to put the mess back together.... Later I saw the same telefonica 600 gixxer at a local bike repair guy rashed up from yet another wreck... thought maybe the fool had finally gotten it through he should not be riding... that name mentioned seemed very familiar to me, sounds a lot like the same fool who could have killed someone in a car. Heard dispatch had gotten a call just prior to a orange bike hauling ass up past Arby's just minutes before. I'm sure the car pulling out DID see him, I just dont think the car thought he was doing over 70 in a 30. We are all in this together. We all take our chances with cagers and the dangers of the road. We also should take responsibility for our own and stand up for those who need it and rebuke those who bring stereotype anger against us. I will admit to being Squid number 1 when I was 18 on my first bike, a cbr600, racing and trying to prove something on the streets downtown portland. I could have killed not only myself but others. Should have died many times. So yeah I can relate. I should have had my ass chewed by older riders... should have had my ass drug to the track sooner.... I'm glad you survived, I'm glad the driver was ok... but if your reading this you need to either bring your bike to the track and start your riding life over and LEARN to ride your bike or quit riding all together until you grow up... I'd say give it a 10 year break. I vote for the later, I dont want you killing someone at the track personally. edit... yes... confirmed... His profile on myspace... "mr Daredevil" aperently thinks he only has one life to live so live it up... I hope he relizes everone around him only has one life to live as well... For the record I'm messaging him this thread. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...ndid=233265964 Last edited by minerb; 04-06-2008 at 01:20 PM.. |

The bike was sold locally and then wrecked again but I have no idea where it ended up. Another year and there will be more bikes I think with gas prices going up and younger folks trying to find cheaper ways of transportation. Just be careful and ride with gear and keep it civil. |

If he did get a MV I haven't seen it in town yet, I have seen a new Duc though at WW college but it was in the back of a truck. |
