| Training Wheels Joined: Jul 2008 From: Walla Walla, Wa I Ride: V-Star 650 Silverado | which dealer in town do you like better? This summer I bought two brand new bikes. One Honda, and one Yamaha. I found the service, and effort at Yamaha to be like day and night from Honda. At Honda I got the feeling that they were doing me a favor by even talking to me. I know I asked for a bike in black, they pointed to the one on the floor and said "we have that grey one." I told them I wanted them to uncrate a black one for me, after 5 minutes of waiting they said ok. I went to the Yamaha, Shumate, the day I passed my skills test. TWO sales people dropped what they were doing to help me out. They were nice, friendly, and really seemed to care. I told them I wanted to stay under 8500 after taxes, for the payment plan. The bike came out to 8800 and they knocked the price down to 8470. At Honda I told them I could only spend 3500, they said "No, we can't do that." ALso when you walk into the Yamaha shop the bikes just seem to jump out at you, at Honda it is like walking into a garage. Maybe that is just the style of the bikes. I do prefer the style of my V-star over the that of the Honda Shadow. So what are your stories? |

I will say not all of the guy's that work at the honda shop are that bad but just one. For some reason the little fat salesman thinks he is the sh1@. I can't stand to deal with people like that. I wanted to b1tch slap that little, well anyway you no what i mean. The guy's over at Yamaha were cool and continue to work well with what i need so that is where i go. |

I went in to try and find some parts for my TL, and i was greeted with "why not get rid of that old piece of crap" I responded "when someone makes a bike as fucking bad ass as mine, i will get rid of this" and left. Try toms cycles, its on portland a few blocks from roosevelt, i've had nothing but good expierences there Last edited by Dusten; 07-23-2008 at 04:56 PM.. |

They were all helpful and polite. When I asked for something they didn't point, the old guy, I think Tom, came around and walked me to it. |

The only sales guy I know that started working at USA is Eric(Wes) not The OTHER Eric(Owner) and I don't think he is fat or short . I've dealt with All of them here and haven't been all that happy with them(Dealerships). I only go in for what I know I need and leave. We'll see if Shumate does better than Tumac, I like that They are going to bring in more of a selection Apperal and bikes( Thanks for the heads up Syn ) and also to be able to get Zuki parts.Tom and his wife are nice folks but never have what I'm looking for, carry very little for sport but alot for curisers ( You should find everything you need Superman), I ordered alot of things for my VTX when I had it from them. |

If you've been in Tumac he was the service manager back last year. He's got a guy wrenching that is pretty good, been happy with what I had him do for me. |
