I'm back home!
Damn it's good to be home. i was getting tired of sleeping in a tent and eating crappy food for 45 days.

First thing i did when i got home was eat a real meal. and then go for a ride!

i'll be home for a week, maybe two depending on if they need me to go back out again. i've got a few things i need to do around here while i'm back, but i'm up for rides at most any time! number is in my profile.

They do. It's 14 days of working, two days of rest. etc, etc. but we took our two days of R&R down there in Quincy, California instead of driving all the way back home. It actually worked out pretty good because we got to keep working. if we had come back home we probably wouldn't have been working a whole lot. but now we're home and things are starting to go to hell in a handbasket around the PNW right now. so our trucks are able to be sent out again on monday afternoon. and they more than likely will be sent out somewhere.

Wildland firefighting! but i learned my lesson last year. last year we had to camp out on gravel (not at the main camp, but at a spike camp). i think i bruised my hip from my thin Thermarest. So i said screw that and i went to REI and bought a 3.5 inch thick one!

I had a feeling thats what it was gonna be...why else would someone stay in a tent for that long unless they ended up at that crazy jail in like arizona where the guy makes all the inmates where pink and stay in the desert in community tents! haha
