Wings and Wheels Festival Sport Bike Games **UPDATED 5/29**
So my parents are on the board for the Wings and Wheels committee, and they got the approval the other night for a wheelie contest and some stunt riding. We're needing some help though, determining rules and scoring and all that. Also trying to figure out how to keep it safe. They will have the road between Grand Rd. and 3rd blocked off, so there will be a lot of room to work with. They already have some games planned out for the sport bikes as well ( slow race, some cone agility, the water balloon toss, and a few more are in the making. Any ideas and input would be greatly appreciated. There will also be a stunt bike group there as well putting on some shows through out the event.

**UPDATE:** We've also got the approval for a burn out contest as well. The wheelie contest is still approved, but we need some help to come up with a way to make it a safe event for both the participants and spectators alike, so if anyone has any ideas on that, or any other things they might like to see as events, let me know and I can pass on the ideas to the committee.

I don't know on that one. I'm gonna guess that maybe you'll have to sign a waiver or something. But I don't know for sure. I'll have to find out. It's been approved by the city and wings and wheels committee though, so they must have something worked out.

Ok, I will. Also gonna probably be doing a stoppie competition as well. We're working on getting a burn out competition too.

Anyone who participates will have to sigh a waiver.

We still are in need of some more ideas as far as events for the bikers as well, so any one with an idea, let me know.

ideas
hmm this could be great if its done right. Haystack bundles are your friend for safety, wrap around the perimeter where the stunting will be then put up the railing Ive seen this done at many shows. Also you may want to look at putting spectators on one or two sides only, of the stunt arena not all the way around, think less targets to hit. One last thing make sure you have asphault walkers to walk the stunt area between shows for clean up of debree. How many stunter's will there be? who is the stunting crew "barrel racing" is fun too, put a cone about 50' out ride on the handlebars out n round n back, fastest time wins. Another would be the all fun 50 race's you have to find enough pocket rockets but it will really attract the peeps

Last year they had the Ride N Glide Extreme Sports Stunt crew there doing their thang on their bicycles and it was pretty cool. At Classy Chassis I asked Dawn Collins of the East Wenatchee Events Board what they had planned for W & W and she asked if I had any ideas for another type of entertainment during the 2 day event. I told her it would be cool to get a motorcycle stunt team to come out since last year was the first year of really making bikes a part of the event. I got an email from Dawn on Friday saying that they got the city and county approval and that they were working on the logistics of the event. (I provide music and do MC (master of ceremonies) for the CC and W&W events.)

Both my parents are on the committee, and they said they've had a sport bike stunt crew lined up. As far as ideas for events for us sport bike riders, I need some input. The committee keeps asking me if I have come up with anything else, but I need some help. So anyone with more ideas, please let me know so I can put the ideas before the committee and see what they have to say.

So far this is what they have for events:

Burn out contest
Slow ride through cones
balloon toss (requires a passenger)
Weenie Bite (also requires a passenger, probably of the female type. )
Wheelie contest ( still trying to work out safety issues)
Barrel racing
And possibly some kind of agility course

So any more ideas would be appreciated...

I also need to start getting a head count on who all is gonna want to participate so I can get registration forms out as well. I will also start bringing them to our Thursday night meets at Dusty's. I will find out how much entry fees are gonna be as well and let you all know. I know that the committee already has some awesome prizes, so it will be worth your time and a little entry fee to participate.
