| Pit Crew Joined: Mar 2008 From: Wenatchee, WA I Ride: because walking feels so awkward. | Laguna Seca Trip After riding to Salt Lake last year for the World Super Bike races we talked about what to do this year. Taking in the Moto GP race at Laguna seemed like the obvious choice. Three of us made the trip down and we got back last night with 2310 miles on the odometer. I debated about whether to ride the Multistrada or the Concours down but knowing we were doing a lot of freeway miles I felt I could not, in good conscience, subject a Ducati to that much straight road. The Connie performed admirably and better than I expected when we got to the twisty bits one the return trip. More about this later. The races were great and the noise made by the Moto GP bikes alone was worth the price of admission. I'll be sorting my photos and posting a link to a web album later but I just found that Vicki Smith, Ducati events coordinator, has already posted her shots of Ducati Island. She is a v good photographer so you really should take a look. Click on the link and then click on the slide show button. http://ducati.smugmug.com/gallery/8824021_ErNim |
