I would really like to ride over to Ellen's town Tuesday... it would mean having to leave work a little early (which I think I can do). I will plan on being at the Shell station (Olds Station) at 5:30. If I'm not there, don't wait for me...

I would also love to roll to the Moses Lk bike show... if I can get my chores done (big "if" at this point), I could be over there around noon-thirty. Anybody meeting up, or the group in ML? WAAAZZAAAAAAAAAAP?

I Ride: because walking feels so awkward.
Hang on John. It's a comin'.

Destinations are top secret on a need-to-know basis. Self-destructing envelopes will be issued to authorized personnel 90 seconds before the ride.

Could somebody turn off the wind?

I really want to! Think I've pushed my luck a bit far already. Maybe I'll go wiggle the chain a bit more. Ripp'n, I went to the store at totally forgot to pick up supplies for that trick. Just lend me the TL and some stilts.

Yeah, the Intruder sold last week. Wish I had it now, but oh well. Ripp'n, do you get those things behind the counter? Can't imagine they'd be out for the general public to steal.

AH, I think behind the counter... go to a pharm... or Murdoch's/ farm store or wear sunglasses and a hairpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! THEY ARTN"T ILLEGLE,
Tell'm what its for...
There are 2 o-rings per link... I KNEW youd start think'n about it.... Check to make shure there isn't any link/ pin damage ... set it out in the sun to heat up...or ride it a SHORT distance, if "SAFE" enough... inject each/both side o-rings, not thru the o-ring. If you have a TINY (eyeglass)screw driver/ thin knife/feeler gauge, you might open the side of the ring by inserting and wedging abit ,and fit the lube straw/needle right in there a bit... the needle will git WAY in there... ride it around the gravely block... let it set... maybe do it again... BE SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, upon further inspection, it's not going to seat on the sprocket right no matter what I do. Looks like it's stretched a bit too. Only place this cookie is going is to my friend's house to replace everything. Sigh... I wanna ride. Guess I'll go grab a beer instead.

He thinks we should report him, not really to get him in trouble but at least to find out what he was thinking, he rode about a mile next to her with his blinker on where there was NO way she could SEE his blinker, Ripn backed off a bit to give him room but he just matched speeds with her. Then he hit his brakes when everyone was starting to slow down for the turn, and cut behind her.

Not sure if he just doesn't know how to drive by a motorcycle or what.

I think we are all scared of being "singled out" by making a complaint but something should be said. . .Ripn do you remember his ID#?

"Mikeysfun says, there is a a cafe at Liberty... up Blewit Pass... as I NOW know, you can get there from WEN and the EBRG side... how bout an EARLY meet for BREAKFAST!!!!!"

Never ate there - I'll bet it's as good as anywhere else. Have eaten at the Mineral Springs place. I'd be up for a breakfast ride!

BTW guys - when I ride with a bunch of guys who start riding faster than I'm comfortable with - my sense of decorum as an officer and all that - I don't act like a cop I just ride... You do what you do, ride your ride, and I'll ride mine, generally pretty mellow riding for me. Something about getting older and the embarrassing consequences of being a cop and getting a traffic ticket, then explaining it to the Chief on Monday morning... I'm just not interested in that. So, you may get to start breakfast ahead of me, I'll be there in a bit!

Have ridden with a few of you who like to wick it up a bit, or more than a bit - and that's fine, I used to do so too, when I was young and crazy a million years ago - I generally have a first aid kit with me, but I can't talk you out of any tickets you collect along the way!

Regards, Guy

I Ride: because walking feels so awkward.
When the summer weather gets so hot you can't stand to ride in the afternoon, those morning breakfast rides are the cat's meow. One of my favorites is the ride over Blewett to Mineral Springs for biscuits, sausage gravy, hash browns and eggs.

I can't say that a little speeding doesn't go on with some of our group rides, Guy, but there are always some people who chose not to ride at the same speed as some others. That should not be a problem in anyone's mind. If it is they should get over it. Ride segments are usually short enough the group is all back together in a minute or two. I almost hate to say this for rear of jinxing my good record but I haven't gotten a speeding ticket on a motorcycle since 1970. I try to be very selective about when and where I open the throttle. Massive speeding around cars, pedestrians and homes is bad motorcycle PR and dumb enough I should know better.

BTW I hear the Douglas County motor cop is handing out speeding tickets like candy canes at a Christmas party. Revenue must be down. I blame Barney Frank.

I are bad at not getting tickets. So far not bad enough to ever warrant a reckless or anything worse than a speeding. But as I get older sense is being pounded into me like a meat tenderizer. One day, some ungodly time years down the road, I hope to say " I haven't gotten a ticket since 2009"
