I think I remember the epiphany Rippn.. Seems to me I was laying down on the tank of my ol' GS 750 watching the pavement rip by as the tach edged up towards redline in 5th... Somewhere in there I was thinking "This is really cool!"

After I thought... "That was really dumb!" Still, I'm glad I did it and lived through those days. When I was tached out, my pard easily passed me on his Yamaha XS Eleven... Big bad bike for the day. Then we slowed down and only a couple of miles later found the CHP waiting out on the back side of Mount Palomar in SoCal... We were actually down to a legal velocity by then, more or less.

Thaloc - I got a couple of tickets in years past, but it's been a while. Might have another one or two out there waiting for me. I've certainly deserved a few more than I've received!

Breezebike - Mineral Springs breakfast memories are making me hungry!

I have been staying rather tame as far as speed on the bike lately. I have a court June 29th for a speeding ticket in May. So, if all goes well, I will be able to say that I haven't had a ticket since 1994.

Another great ride Thursday... I'm glad nobody was speeding. What was the deal with the guy takin' pics on the way back down?

Guy, I can imagine that it would be difficult for a person in your position... I admire your thoughts and ability to separate the two ideas to some degree anyway. Kudos to you bro.

The Liberty Cafe' is a great place for breakfast. Pancakes the size of pizzas- I'm in for that!

Ripp'n- you are a cool cat, I'm glad you are comin' over to kick it with us. You are full of great suggestions! I made some homemade ice cream over the weekend, wanted to ride over and bring you a cone, but then I remembered about the sugar thing. So I ated it. Sorry man.

I think I'm going to stick around Wenatchee Thurs because I have company coming to town. Hopefully I will be able to sneak away Thurs night for a ride!

Nail in the center of the rear tire
Hoping to get a new tire tomorrow and mounted Thursday, so it all depends on the timing of it. Otherwise I would be more than up for a ride down!

I was checking the tread life on my tires when I noticed a small silver speck that wouldn't wipe off . The nail looks tiny, but I don't want to chance it. Oh well, at least I know my tread will be good now!

So if anyone wants to help take off or put a tire on for fun . . . yeah, didn't think so.

I am new at this so I am going to remove the wheel and take it to Condottas and pay them $25 to mount and balance it for me.

AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To me, it's REALLY is about the ride'n... and hopefully, groups that reflect your outlook, values, and desire to mature in this sport.
IMHO, "not tonight...it's drunk:30", "I'll just take it out in trade sweetie... lick lick",
ride to coffee pose'n, lt's shitty, overpriced, ill prepared BN food time...again... is just NOT worth the effort anymore... I don't ride a bike to be ass-ailed by 7grd locker room/ beavis and butthead and the pursuit of the lowest (UN)common denominator mentality, sadly, at almost every oppertunity.

I am seeking MY needs, as a rider...
#1...I wanna ride...
#2... see #1... and where it takes me.

Got to second xltman8...nice meeting you RIP . 160 mile night!!! Way good, and the zx12 can do that! My only issue was the global warming stuff as the air-flow jacket flowed all my body heat into the atmosphere ! I could have use your size RIP, kinda like one of those big white bears in the icy lands up north.

also the ride manners of the rest of the group...well done, good spacing and lane off-setting...well done!

Well, I kinda got all cought up in all the eye candy assessories that you can get for these machines. I appreciate the comments, as I was finally able to put a bike like that togther. What I find interesting is that most Japanese and Italian (and Triumph's 675) bikes and in particural the performance bikes are like diamonds in the rough that can be turned into a work of art. Form follows function and how the frames, swingarms, engines, wheels etc are mechancal masterpieces at an incredably reasonable costs! What I was trying to do was show it's refine beauty. Gee...this is getting emotional

Anyway...back to reallity... Was taking my Zrex to Spokane Friday night and hit a 4x4 or 6x6 piece of road trash that was only about a foot in length while passing a car, and dented the front wheel sufficiently to terminate the ride then and there!

http://

I limped the bike about 3 mile back to Wilber, where I was able to get a uhaul and return to Wenatchee. Long day, but did turn out Ok considering.

Gee...Road Stuff!

Thanks Ripp'n...was a wild ride for a bit...front tire when flat right now...at about 75 mph on the gas, got off the throttle, worked it to the side of the road with out dropping it. What was interesting was riding back to Wilber, could keep it a little over 30 mph and was pretty smooth, but did not like to turn. The bead held and stayed on the rim...big plus.

Yeah Rippn, it was also a chance to check out the new supper low pressure Dunlop No Stick! You can grab a hand full on front brake and never worry about lock-up, as the tire spins freely on the rim! No Worries!

Xltman8...you'll beable to see the bike anytime, as Mr. Dyno Mike had an spear ZRX tire and wheel assemble sitting around. Was able to get the bike on the road again Saturday afternoon. Just got to find a new wheel.

http://

Hay Rip...I was doing a Kawasaki Wheel search and front wheels for 1999 all have a 5886xx part number, the last two values appear to be color related. Not sure, but would be interested to know if the ZX12R front wheel is the same basic model. Would result in a bigger ebay selection process.
