Scenic ride under a big harvest moon. Views of the enchanted city. You should have been there.

Good to have some new people tonight. Hope to see you again.

Next week let's try to ride out around 6:45 so we can put a few epic miles in before the cold, dark night of October sets in.

Had a great ride last night everyone! Gettin that time of year that not even the jacket liner is good enough on these cool evenings. I believe its time to put the fleece underneath.

I'll be out of town this Thursday. I hate to miss one when we don't have many left in the season. Do a good ride and tell me about it next week.

I'm planing a 3-day ride into Eastern Oregon this weekend. I think I'll take the Strada this time. I'll tell you about that next week.

Ciao

So I have a proposal for our Thursday night meets. Since it's starting to get dark earlier and earlier every week, what would you all say to meeting up and riding first and then eating when we get back?

Sounds much better to me! But that means people showing up on time, the eating gave the late commers time to show.

Interesting idea. It would work best if we had a set time to ride out but using random ride times and destinations has its distinct advantages. I'd hate to leave people out who can't make it early. We could encourage people to show up earlier or skip eating so we can ride. What say the rest of the troops?

Yeah, I know, but with it getting dark by 7:30, it isn't leaving much time to ride as it is. I say we meet @ 6, and get out of there by 6:15 ish..and eat when we get back.

First time in months, I actually have a Thursday night off when I won't be out of town.

Hey, the family deserved a family vacation, but I've got the green light to go out and ride a bit Thursday night. Off work about 5:30 - 6:00 pm... Can be at Dusty's a few minutes later...

On a bike for a change!

Well, dang it, 0615 Thursday morning and I already know I'm not going to be able to ride tonight.

Things happen. Bummer.

Maybe next year. Phooey.

I am all for Brett's idea- especially as we get later in the season like now...

I'll try to be there at 6:00 and see what happens... either way it's good for me- as long as I can keep scaring Rippn, all is right in the world.

I was more scared of getting a thumbs up

Do you want peanuts on that?

Made it, and that was fun!

Thanks for the ride and the welcome. Group kind of broke up as we approached East Wenatchee, so I just headed in. Stuff to do tonight...

^^ Thanks for riding with us Guy... Usually we group up a little better than that on our return before parting ways, but it was getting pretty dark- I actually went back to Dusty's to have a burger... By myself.

My favorite part was cresting Badger Mountain and taking in that COPPER sky. Did anybody else notice that? (maybe everything I see is copper in my world these days).

It looks like I'll be out of commission for the next three Thursdays. (Don't feel sorry for me. I'll be scuba diving in the Caribbean for a week.) By the time I return on October 22, I expect it may be too cold and dark for anything but bench racing. Anybody got any ideas for how we can get through the interminable gray winter?

Im there with ya, I think im done with evening rides for the season. Its getting dark too early and there are just too many deer out there for me to feel comfortable riding at a brisk pace at dusk.

My plans for the winter are:

1. Stay warm
2. Get fat
3. Play Trials HD and MotoGP on my Xbox till I can ride again

I rode to Plain today too. It was awesome! Might be my last ride for a while. Back later in the month.

A lot of bike nights are just a gathering at a place for dinner. I think we've enjoyed the riding a lot more than the eating and talking. That's why we have bikes. But now the season is coming to an end for evening rides. We can start it up again in March. Still, I'm wondering if we would have much interest in getting together periodically during the off-season just to keep the flame lit. Most of us will continue to do day rides in the cold months. We don't want to let Rippin down. He holds us to a high standard. We could meet on a certain day of the month for a day-ride or a monthly night at Dusty's even if we have to drive the car in the snow to get there. Any thoughts?

I rode in at 6:15 and everyone was gone... so I thought. So I took a chance and hauled butt (didn't speed of course) towards Cashmere to look over the hill for bikes just in case, but saw nobody. So I did Sleepy Hallow backwards (not riding backwards or in reverse, but in the opposite direction) ALL BY MYSELF. I sniffled a little when I got back home. I plan on being there this week if I don't have to work late, and if I do, I'm gonna stop in and wait for a while to see if anyone else shows before taking off. *sorry 'bout last week Airx.

What were you ridin'? I was there all weekend (Coppa SV) along with Jadagod23 and dobe23. Shoulda came over and said high! I must say I was a little disapointed we didn't have more locals support one of our main local events. I mean if they let me in, surely the rest of you should have no problem. It would have been fun to at least have a few of our Thursday night crowd there for some friendly competition. *pouting Vigilante

Have a great time Ted... and you know I'm down with your suggestion. At least get to talk about bikes even if we aren't riding them this winter. It can be my motorcycle therapy session while the bikes stay warm at home.
