They are a witness just like any other, but a jury would likely find them more credible than the average person because of their career.

I would be ok with that. Sometimes I get caught up with a lot of things so it is hard for me to keep up with the questions. Also, everyone must be careful because if the question is too specific there is a chance that an officer or prosecutor could use your statement against you.

Not a good thought unless it is the only person you have ever known who died doing what he or she loved to do.

Because;

I have known people who died driving a car, riding in a car, riding a motorcycle, skydiving, flying a plane, riding a snowmobile, eating a tunafish sandwich, and having sex.

The relevance of fear as the reason to stop any activity doesn't hold water, without comparing the people who out number the dead, who ride daily, yearly, for their lifetimes without close calls, accidents, tickets, or breakdowns.

Flying in large aircraft is more safe than sitting in your kitchen eating steak and eggs, but no one ever suggests you stop eating steak and eggs in your kitchen.

The same can be said about motorbikes. I take offense to the thought and the far to often and usual statement made as if it is a predetermined destiny to die on a bike. I call B*LLSH*T on that!
I agree with Gusgus. I as well have seen human life die in front of me as a result of motorcycling among other things. As far as relating to those of us who seriously respect the risk and reward of motorcycling, we cannot relate to you. So don't try to sneak in the "I've ridden a few times but family comes first" statement. There are many out there who come to terms with the risk of motorcycling and as a result do what they can to practice proficient riding and also raise families of their own. The stigma of ditching your two wheeled ride for a family's sake is understandable but not entirely justifed unless you openly admit that you are pu$$y wipped! If you don't have a passion for riding then fine, but if you do... then ride.

I am coming up on my second year of practice; though I worked most of law school for another attorney. Unfortunately, ethically as an attorney I am not allowed to give success rates because it creates an expectation for clients that can't be guaranteed.

Love how you say "practice". Leaves a little room if you fail. Welcome to the forum.
