| Training Wheels Joined: Jul 2009 From: Richmond Beach, WA I Ride: MV Agusta F4S | Poll: "New" MV Agusta - Ride or Not? Bike is a 2002 MV Agusta F4S, aka EVO2. Always in a showroom in private collection, never riden, and has the upgrade RG3 race exhaust with improved eprom chip, SPR heat exchangers, and the original exhaust in a box. Perfect condition, and still even has the whiskers on the rear tire. |

Go pickup a used F4 or something of that nature and rip that around. my 2 cents Word |

I have a thing for the water-cooled Porsches, and yeah I think they're nice too! PM me about the parts though... >> Red Label... YES! This was Kie's bike! He's a friend and I can't say enough nice things about the guy, and I fell in love with it the first time I saw it... I bought it because I wanted it, without a plan as to ride it or boner over it. Yes, the Senna is one of the rare ones, but they're all rare in the 750s anyway, in my opinion. No, this is not my first bike, read my intro post: "New bike, new rider" |

If you've got the scratch to buy it, you should have the cash to replace it if you wad it up. The whole point of motorcycles is to enjoy riding them. If you want moto art, buy a picture. |

I only put up two because I figured I should have made a poll about it to get the opinion of other riders in the first place. Grant: I wouldn't go so far as to say that if I dont ride it, I dont deserve it. I admire the bike like any other enthusiast (not just some guy who buys a pretty bike because it looks cool), and if I choose to preserve one, then props to me for having the restraint to keep that bike new and pristine. But, I dont have the restraint, and I'm going to ride that bitch. For the record, I'm just a regular guy with particular taste, and money is separate, not to be linked with what I own. I wasn't a silver-spoon kid, trust fund baby, didn't get a dime from relatives, and earned everything I acquired. So, I dont wanna be labeled as the 'rich Porsche guy' or anything. Whenever I get to meet some of you guys, you'll see I'm a pretty laid-back and open guy, no d-bagedness here, just a real-deal gear head :^). I wanna make that crystal clear to anyone who may have the wrong idea, like Grant & Billy ;^) So, thanks again for everyones' thoughts and comments, I really appreciate all of your opinions! |

| WMRRA Qualifier Joined: Oct 2008 From: Dry Shiddies I Ride: 2008 Hayabusa, 2005 Hayabusa, 2000 GSXR 750 Track Bike | You were living before you had the bike, you'll be living long after you get rid of the bike. If you bought her to make money off of, leave it in your living room and it is a great coffee table. However, one of the coolest things to see is a totally tricked out machine, I don't care what kind, anything that is either rare or with boat loads of cash dumped into it being used for what it was built for. How many times have you seen a rare car going down the road like the devil himself is chasing it. Guy driving it is getting everything out of it he can (given it is not stolen). You remember those occasions and they stick with you the next time you see someone grampa'ing the same car around you go "what a waste of a great car, bike...what ever"! Well, this bike is exactly the same way, you worked for you money to pay for her, get the most enjoyment out of those bucks that you can. Personally, I give props to somebody who really does walk the walk they talk about. I would also say, throw some track tires on her and run her around a few of the track days. There are a lot of us that enjoy seeing that kind of bike run a course. No, you don't have to be there to set track times, but hey, you can open her up and feel her breath like she was built for with no popo there to take her away. Take care and hope to see you on the road! |

I'm going to meet up with my father (he rides an '08 BMW K1200S) and see how this thing performs. I'm sure it will be awesome, and I'll be sure to let you know! | Training Wheels Joined: Jul 2009 From: Richmond Beach, WA I Ride: MV Agusta F4S | So, I rode it... I should have paid admission for that... Every time I jerked the throttle I flew back and hit the seat back... Damnit I love that bike! A few thoughts: Don't ride it in the city. I kept hitting my arms and smashing my thumbs into the tank in turns during tight turns from a stop. Your ass will be on fire from that exhaust until you get cruising and the bike drops below 190 degrees, which it never does in city. This is a serious machine, and I actually underestimated it! The gear changes are incredible, the power is great, but the real thing on this bike is the sound out of that race exhaust. F me, under load its wicked... You guys need to hear it, ill try and bring her out to the xxx show on thursday. Jeez. I'm still smiling and I've been off it for an hour :^). |

It is highly controversial subject. Basically it's about one engine builder stating that he runs his engines hard during the break in period. Supposedly it seats the rings properly. Too bad I threw out my back (again) yesterday or I'd be riding it right now! I'm still going to XXX on thursday no matter what though, I'll just pop some pills and deal with it ;^) |
