wtf? x18 pocket bike is street legal
I was just reading that Wa state is one of the few where the x18 pocket bike meets all requirements for being street legal. I never would have thought, kinda makes me want one.......

These guy's could tell you who is a good dealer or on-line place to buy from
and who to stay away from, too.

OK I can just see it now you are out railing the thing and dragging puck and get pulled over.

They are not gonna believe it on a pocket bike

I kind of like the sikk or fx bikes better. For me its more comfortable sitting position, and more off road capability

not street legal, but I dont want another bike that I have to put a plate on, .... and it looks like a bicycle... pushin the grey area on what is and isnt trouble some. With the 49cc motor, no vehic registration required, no orv tags, hellooooooo gold mountain. (and hell on golf courses... not that I would ever do that.... but ....)

A great source for parts for your X-18 >> www.X18parts.com
They sell only O.E.M. X-18, and only X-18 parts.

Heh, heh......I saw one out the other day. I though I was seeing things.

I was waiting on a side road to turn onto Old Belfair Highway, a group of four cars coming from my left. Third vehicle in was a LITTLE tiny sportbike ridden by a NOT SMALL guy in full gear. Kind of a gsxr inspired looking front headlight. 45 mph zone. **Shakes head**....Whaaaaa???? Yep, it had a plate!

I had no idea! The dude had a big smile on his face.

Yup! I can ride my street bike through my neighbor hood and people working in their yards don't even look up.
Ride the lil X-18 and they stop what they are doing, look and wave!
Kids try and chase ya, dogs look but don't!

That was us. REMEMBER, these are cheap Chinese bikes. Cheap construction.
Yes! They are fun! But, the quality of the fasteners is minimal.
Everytime I pull a bolt, I replace it with a better quality bolt. I swear some of them are made of butter.
The good thing is there are people on the web-sites I posted that have 'been there and done that' to help us. Locktite (blue) is your friend.
The stock batterys are CRAP! Stock plug cap and plug, are also worth replacing.
Oh the stock fuel filter needs replacing as well.
With a litttle tinkering they will roll along at 40mph. A 'Herd' of them running together should be a Blast!

This may be a great excuse to buy another bike. Street legal....

Wonder how long until I would get bored with it though.

How durable are these machines?? Service intervals?

Seems cool if I can go somewhere and "carry" my bike into a building instead of worrying about parking. lol

They are Chinese hand granades.
They are Cheap, inexpensive toys.
They are NOT Honda quality.
Service intervils are, oil change after you spend the day flogging it. Every 200 miles I cheack the valve to tapit clearances. Adjut the chain as needed.
