30 Freebies & Discounts for Veteran's tomorrow
Last year my daughter & I went to Applebee's for a free Vet dinner. Place was packed & I should have gone a lot earlier in the evening. Here is a link / list of freebies & discounts for this year. A lot seems to be in the Seattle area. If you know of any others, please post them up.

http://blog.seattlepi.com/davidnelso...ves/227877.asp

This year, I'm happy to announce 30 freebies and discounts for veterans on Veterans Day.

Like last year, I walked into many of the places below, asked if they would offer free or discounted items for our veterans, and most business owners embraced the opportunity.

I feel grateful to have such generous businesses in the community; all the businesses listed below deserve the utmost respect and gratitude for their generosity.

As a reminder, veterans must show proper ID and/or proof of service in order to receive offers below. Verify that the offers below are still being honored prior to taking advantage of them.

Lastly, as a Marine veteran, I just want to wish the United States Marine Corps a Happy 235th birthday! Happy Birthday Marines!

Veterans, 30 freebies and discounts for you on Veterans Day, November 11th, 2010:

Wikkd. Wish my brother was in town... we'd rock these places in dress. As it is I may drag one of the boys in my unit out anyway.

Thanks for posting this up, Cherie!
