Bumping Old Threads

I get infracted for bumping or post in old threads that have nothing to do with meets, bike nights, etc.. and from people that where not even around to know the pleasure of these old post.

Some people are just........., well I will leave it like that before I get in trouble

Part of the problem on forums that have been going for a long time is many friends come and go, event come and go, shit storms come and go and with this flux of people and time the site changes.

The biggest problem with "new" folks is they just won't get many of the things that happened in the past.

Additionally, being regionally spread apart you end up having keyboard cowboys and moderation that has the tendency to make more trouble then they do imparting a contributing spirit. Hells bells, looking back as a mod, there are a ton of things I would love to do different and instead of having created some of the shit storms, a good ride, sharing some beers and laughing with one another would have made things a lot better.

Additionally, when someones feelings are hurt, they are really hurt and you can't undo the damage. Again, there are things that I wish I could take back and undo, but sadly you can't...you can only go forward and try to live your life better then you did the day before.

As for bumping threads, it just brings back either the fun and memories of a time that has since passed in the hopes of remembering the time, or doing it just for shits and grins. Personally I like the shits and grins reasoning the best.
