How come? I'm not in a MC, but I dont see a bad thing about it, especially depending on the club.

Ride West club
Team Ride West has over 700 members, 50 of whom 60 I would call active, and offers dozens of rides both street and dual sport each year, no dues, and a monthly dinner meeting that is almost entirely social. 70% BMWs, 30% everything else under the sun. Web site is the Ride West web site (www.ridewest.com) and any questions can be send to me at team@ridewest.com

I've been in the VME for years, but I certainly wouldn't call it an MC.
Even though we have officers and all that shit.

Ain't no patches
Ain't no secret handshake
It's a bunch of guys that like old Brit bikes.
We let the Harley and Indian guys think they in the club too.
Don't show up for a meeting and you might get elected prez

It's not an MC in the traditional sense of the term.
And we all about traditional...

I guess that would depend on what you call traditional. I'm not sure if you've reead the about section on their website:

About
The VME is the Northwest's premiere vintage motorcycle collector and enthusiast's club. Founded in 1982, the club is dedicated towards the promoting of motorcycle safety and awareness, as well as the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of classic motorcycles from the past and present.
So somebody in charge thinks its a club, not to mention there are dues, and you may not have a secret handshake, but yoj do have a secret meet date Isle of Vashon TT!?
And I think they let the Harley and Indian riders in because there Harley and Indian bikes are vintage. Not to mention the VME is chartered by the AMA that has them listed in their find a club section.
