Yeah, but if I remember geography correctly, you have to ride into Canada to get to that point.

Is there an expiration on a tag? Like if someone can't get to it in ___ days the tag is no longer valid and the OP has to post up a new tag? Or do we just sit and wait til someone goes and gets this tag, even if it takes 2-3 months to get it?

Maybe. The natives don't seem excited by the idea of swinging a leg over their bike and going for a ride. Their loss!

Personally, I had a blast getting that tag. Stopped at 5guys for lunch in bellingham, met a friendly british rider on a triumph when i stopped for a smoke, got to see and touch some history, enjoyed riding places I'd never been, made a weekend of it by staying over in Vancouver for the night, where I had a good plate of pasta for dinner and got drunk. What's not to like?

Also made for friendly conversations with border guards when they asked me my purpose for visiting...uh, photo tag. At one point I had a guard from the next booth over getting involved when he over heard the conversation...cause he had an idea where I might find this border marker one. And to the last border guard, they all had a good laugh when I explained the game and how this tag was at the extreme edge of our boundary area and probably the biggest pain in the ass to get. The implication was instantly understood...

Either would be best, but I have heard you can cross with ID and a birth certificate...IDK....

You can use ID and your original long form birth certificate to get back into the country. The last time I went, you just needed ID to get into Canada, but that might have changed since the 90's.

Of course, if you were born in Hawaii, good luck on getting the original long form birth certificate. If the President can't get it...
