So just go with a buddy to a vacant lot and start doing some front wheel lift offs, do it until you're bored, then get a little more air, practice using your throttle to soften the landing on the way back down so you don't blow your fork seals. It comes over time. Don't do clutch ups on the liter bike and cover your rear brake. Having a spine protector on will make the loop suck little less.

Take a good road/street rider and they will probably never know how to really ride dirt... Just the facts.

You are exactly right, street and dirt are little the same, I broke my femur at washougal on june 23rd, 1990 trying out for the 500cc nationals,I was 23, 20years of learning to really ride dirt has helped my 2 years of track riding, but the dirt riding is still more forgiveing, 20 to 30 plus hp is well, fun for a while

You certainly not need to know how to do a wheelie in order to be a really good rider. Correct me if i am wrong!

I am poor and confused. I know that my 2 wheeled machine gets better gas mileage than a 4 wheeled machine, but when I am on only 1 wheel, I get horrible gas mileage

Could that be due to the increased drag coefficient, caused by the increased area of the bike, exposed to the wind???

PS awe who cares, wheelies look cool...AJ
