My insurance rates are high... but well worth it if I lay the bike down or it gets stolen.

Any luck with yours? They almost stole mine, and finally we have our perpetrators on video. My entire security system (Dowco Cover, Heavy Chain, and Alarm) fended them off, if I didn't have it I probably would've been in the same predicament as you.

Talking Bike found!!
Can I get a drum roll please...! I just got the phone call that i've been wanting to get for the last two weeks and long story short my bike was FOUND and in GREAT condition! Hell yeah!The bike was recovered in yakima by the police at 2:04 am last night. Unfortunatly they didn't get the guy that did it... but regardless I'm pretty stoked.

Lessons learned:

1. Insure your bike
2. Get a lock
3. F*ck thieves

They cut out the ignition switch so I will have to replace that and also pay to get it out of impound but its a pretty small price to pay for getting my baby back. Thanks for all your support, and if this happens to you then don't lose hope cause you might just get lucky.

Unfortunately she did not.. but she was fully insured so its not a huge deal if we are unable to recover it. Defiantly helps narrow the search area though.

So I drove down to Yakima this morning to pick it up and besides the ignition switch being cut out, which i can replace for $135, everything else is in perfect condition. They even washed it for me and put on a matching front seat to match the passenger. Nice guys...

The police said that they just found it outside of an apartment building there - on 55 w washington ave - and had it towed. The good news is there were prints on the bike so the police are following up on the investigation and hopefully we will catch the bastard that did it.
