I was working on the bike and the throttle acceuator on the carb assembly was broken. Had to order a new carb assembly. No problem. Got it late yesterday. The shop I'm dealing with (normally) has me scheduled to bring the bike in to get the new carbs cleaned, installed, and sync'ed. They are also gonna do my spark plugs and my clutch cable. Oh yeah, and replace the fuel filter and do a petcock seal kit (replace the seals on the petcock so it stops leaking.) total price 400. Not bad I think. Here's the problem..... My brother wants me to ride with him tomorrow. Sooooooooooo.......... does anyone know of any shop in the everett/lynnwood area that might possibly be able to put my bike back together before the end of the day today? Keep the price in the same ball-park as the shop I'm dealing with now? If no shops are recommended, is there anyone who has the know-how to help me clean and install my carbs onto my bike, so I can get it to the shop to get sync'ed? What would you charge me to help me do it myself? i can wait til wednesday if I have to, but I despereately want to ride with my brother tomorrow. So if I CAN get it put back together today.......... i will. Any suggestions, offers to help? |

I could have gotten it done at my local shop yesterday but I didn't get the carbs til after the shop closed. I was just hoping that there was a snowballs chance in hell that maybe a good shop could have squeezed it in today, with the proper motivation. *shrugs* ah well. I got everything i need to put it back together, and I got an appointment for wednesday for it to get done. Guess I'll just have to be patient and wash my brothers car to kill time or something. Can't wait to get it running again though. |
