If you're upset (and show it) when you're pulled over it doesn't have anything to do with whether or not the infraction you're being cited for actually occurred. In essence, the cops in these cases are becoming an extension of the judges. It's wrong any way you slice it. Too much consideration is already given to LEO's opinions as it is. This just stacks the deck even further without any basis in reality as to what the driver may or may have not done to receive a citation. Oh....and I'm sure cops NEVER lie or make shit up, right?!! |

The officer wrote exactly that on the ticket and that I was pleasant. |

It is easy to laugh at, but when you are the one who is facing an unfair system in a court of law, it is not a court but a mock trial where you have been found guilty before you approach the bench. Every ticket that has this indication on it should be dismissed. If the officer has an issue with the offender they can present this in a open court of law. As the perceived offender, you need to request discovery and all evidence against you provided to you before trial (notes and video tape that will or has been given to the court). Again, if you mock this concept there is nothing to stop the legal system from entering evidence against you that can bias a decision. |

A Mickey Mouse court at best. The legal system is supposed to present impartial fact and evidence of a violation to which you are, by right, entitled to a fair trial. There should be no getting out of anything unless you are not guilty or the prosecution is not sound. A court is supposed to uphold the law not make a joke of it. If a particular law is a joke, re-write it or scrap it! I wish they would just call it what it is, speed tax. Those that are "nice" and those that fund lawyers' new Porsches get a tax breaks. They should not try to hind this under the pretext of law or deal with it inside the legal system. Heck they should just give the speed guns to the IRS and have them send you the invoice in the mail. |

In cases where there is a rightful chance to appeal, there shouldn't be any favoritism based on attitude. It goes against fact finding. |

It's a joke that your attitude should make any difference at all once it goes to the courts. I get where it can make a difference during the actually stop. Everyone's human and can be affected by attitude but once it hits the courts attitude should have no relevence. Sadly our whole legal system doesn't give a damn about the truth and the interest of justice. Instead it's merely become a revenue generation machine that sadly even fails on the endevour. Then the fact that the DA's only care about thier conviction rates to further their careers does not help in the pursuit of justice either. It's why I will give my money to a private attorney willingly even if it costs more then the fine. I refuse to feed the machine that our legal system has become. Our founding fathers are rolling in their graves. Don't even get me started on our tax system. Last edited by Darvax; 09-23-2012 at 08:27 PM.. |

Once the officer pulls you over and he believes you've commited the offense, your attitude can sometimes play a huge roll on the severity of your ticket or if you even get one at all. But once the officer has made that judgement, that as far as it should go. |

I don't mean to be all over the board here but explain it to me like I'm a four year old. You blame everything on the government (laws) you vote on and blame everyone for your problems? And when the courts don't see your way you scream conspiracy? Convient to say the least ![]() | |
