Road to Mt. St. Helens - Page 3

My back tire was flat when I got home, but all and all it was a good day. I'd like to go to the Johnston observatory, there's a bunch of awesome roads on the way up there. If I get a new tire I'd go next weekend. If enough peps wanted to go?

I had a great ride today! Here are a couple hipsta-gram pics.

Rowena Loops. No traffics so I made a few "spirited" runs to the top. Nice little section of road.

I know rain doesn't bother you, but it's supposed to start raining on Friday. I'd go but Ill be
Riding my other beast this weekend and hopefully gets some more wins under my belt

Hey is was nice meeting you Mike and fun riding down from Windy Ridge into Carson with you. Glad to see you made to the Loops. It is not a long stretch of road but it is fun and if the cars and bicycles are scarce it is a blast to make a couple passes through.

Johnston Ridge, HWY 504 is one of the best roads in Wa, if you haven't been up, you gotta go and check it out. Good smooth road all the way up and "Wide Open" if you know what I mean

If it's going to be miserable, I prefer the Oregon Coast. That are has a way of turning "miserable" into "pretty cool". I could rain-proof my good camera and try to capture the true soul of the Northwest. I think I'm talking myself into an overnighter by the surf, in a hotel, but I'll be bringing my tent and bag anyway, for emergencies.

Besides, if the weather is bad enough, will anyone will be able to see Mount St Helens from Johnston Observatory?

It's a great road but you have to blast it to have fun. I use that until 25 opens each year. Iam partial to the more technical 2nd gear stuff. I get into top heat at Johnston and we don't even need to mention speeds. It would just piss people off. It is smooth
