| Endorsed  Joined: Mar 2012 From: Eugene Or I Ride: 2009 Kawasaki ER6N | I need to pack around a bunch of "Start seeing motorcycle" stickers that I can place on people's windshields (in their line of vision) after they stop and go into the mall, bar, home, etc. Of course I'd have to "set" the sticker with a spring loaded center punch, to make sure it would stay there, haha. |

You felt threatened. You vented about it here. 1) I think that sucks, and as an alpha male, feeling like someone fucked with you, and limited reciprocity was available...I would be pissed off as well. 2) You have alerted the community to yet another Non-friendly that may have some potential threat value to us while we ride. THAT is what I gleaned from your post. I personally can see how the potentiality of feeling threatened promoted some target fixation, and you didn't immediately consider pulling off the road, so you could cut off other people who don't give a rats ass about you, and now be stuck on the side of the road, still vulnerable to the idiots out there. I don't get the idea you felt like it was life and death, so much as the unknown male in the truck was showing a complete disregard for your safety.... Your narrative of the situation is obviously "Highlights" , and I am going strictly on my almost 4 decades of riding experience, and 2 as a DT instructor and field investigator. I think we have ALL been in similar situations as a rider, so for my input,I would like to offer my understanding for your anger. I also encourage you to re-play the event in your mind a few times (which likely you have done anyway) and give yourself some slack but pointed self criticism (if warranted), and always be ready. |
