Awesome! I have had one for over 3 years and love it...but since moving up here it sux since whenever i see someone who has one, they are never on the same channel as me. In Los Angeles, the local socal riders forum, hollywoodbikenight, everyone used the same channel. So i propose, everyone use 02-06 as the PNWRiders.com channel. Easy to remember and if you ever are riding and here somone talking, you will know they are a pnwrider and can say hi or if you are looking for more riding, join and ride!02-06 PNWRiders Chatterbox Channel. (edit to channel 02-06) Last edited by Falco; 06-14-2007 at 07:39 PM.. |

It can also work with handhelds for instance when you guys do your big ride to Yakima and have cages following as support vehicles they can hear you and talk to you as well. Just a thought. |

I get all sorts of random squaking on my chatterbox when I'm on 206. I don't mind though. I like to fuck with them... |

These are the X2s but would still work on 2-06 and are way cheaper. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/mcy/350014765.html - Brand new $100 http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/mcy/352842842.html - Lightly used $130 And another one http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/mcy/351235552.html - Brand New $150. There was a brand new X1 for $190 a couple of days ago, but it's gone now. Last edited by tunus; 06-15-2007 at 04:00 PM.. |

I have no idea if that can equate into a channel (i have no box of chat), but it's just as arbitrary as any other channel but wouldn't mean anything to anyone else but us, I'm sure... 206 is kinda, well.. duh. |

Only if you wanna hear people you don't know yackin' it up constantly, especially if you live in the Seattle area. Listening to n00bs hot-mikin' on 2-06 all day isn't my idea of fun. Usually, the idea is to try and pick a completely random channel... and stay away from local "area codes" all together. It's really great to hear someone yelling, "holy shit, WATCH OUT!!", and have that guy be 3.5 miles East of you on a different hwy, or worse, little kids on their "local area code" channel speaking in Ebonics on daddy's pair of 2-way radios. ![]() Just my .02. to that. i stay away from 2-06 truckers in the area use it to.so should each group also be assigned their own channel so that the individual groups can chat and not having 200 people and 15 groups chattering it up on the same channel? seems like it could get confusing. | |

Actually, yesterday was the first time I actually picked up somebody's transmission. I used to ride with channel 7 - 00 on and I could hear somebody every few minutes or so. 2-06 is not bad at all. It is a good idea to assign a channel for each group. |
