Had my self a little lowside today
Was riding with Craig and Joe on hwy 7. Went into a turn at about 60 mph and realized that I was gonna go wide, hit the brakes, bike slides into the gravel. I have a giant swollen knee and some road rash on my right forearm courtesy of my gsxr. The important thing is my bike is ok

Minimal damage, need a new mirror and perhaps a new rear brake lever.

Anyways it was nice riding with you guys, sry if I f***ed up the ride.

Try not to hit those brakes in the corner.

Sounds like you had a little target fixation going on. The bike goes where you're looking. You'll be amazed how far that bike will lean over.

I've gone into left handers to hot. I just exhale look around the corner and push on that left bar while pushing the tank with my right knee.

Ya man, I realized after the crash that if I leaned more I most likely would've made the turn. Mistake on my part. O well, lesson learned though.

Damn dude, lowsiding across the oncoming lane is a deadly game. Lean that heifer til your helmet scrapes the pavement!

Sounds like you came out pretty well? Glad you weren't meeting a BMW when you lowsided.

Post up a parts list. I may have a few things you need?

Hey man thanks for the help. I got a rear brake lever from stillsmokin (Joe) which I greatly appreciate. The only other thing I need is a mirror for my right light. Anyone know if its even possible to get just the mirror and not the entire headlight?

I think some vets need to do more"classes" to help out all the guys wrecking, i cant help but to shake my head when i hear squid remark, hit the brakes, the sad thing is you dont even actually know what happened, why the bike went where you were LOOKING, what you needed to do to prevent the bike from DRIFTING, not lowsiding, it takes alot of practice to train your body not to listen to your brain, and do the opposite of what it is telling you to do, your bike can do much much more than you think, under the right conditions your bike can touch the bar end thru a corner and not "lowside" or Highside, you should take a track class, listen to your bike, and find out why you wrecked, say you didnt panic break, say you applied the brakes properly in the corner, before even thinking that you should of already began to apply more lean angle to compinsate for the braking, looking at where you dont want to go causes you to go in that direction, looking thru the turn, i could go on for hours, you should go to borders and pick up the bible, "twist of the wrist". You did get lucky, you didnt hurt yourself to bad, you didnt hurt anyone else, and money wise you go lucky also. DO a frickin track day you will be a way better rider, plus you can brag to homies that your a track star

Yes yes I know what I did wrong. No need for you to keep going on and on about all that stuff. And yes, I have been to the track before. It was just a dumb mistake as I said. I'm pretty sure if I went back and did it again I could've prevented it, but hindsight is 20/20. So.... thanks for the input....I guess....
