The $150 a week worked out just fine for me seeing my house, car, and all of my bikes and my other assorted toys are all paid for because of a Union wage I have received in the last 35 years.

Lots of questions from some folks who claim to know what it's all about-

Sip-sip-sip-sip, not CHUG-CHUG-CHUG...you're gonna get a tummy-ache!

Got my blockers on!

Hmmm how do you treat those who chose not to strike? Are they haters too, or did they need to keep woring for other reasons? I just wonder how they are treated just one hater to another

I bought my KTM 625 outright without having anything to do with the union, so yea don't see how that helps the questions I have asked.

The argument will never die and I respect your point of view, but if you have nothing to do with unions or Boeing.....what's the point, do you represent the correct side?

I only ask questions, because it seams like some just follow to follow and do not ask themeselves. I was sucked in like that, and always like to inform people that unions are not the only answer. I also have very direct ties with boeing and this effects my loved ones as well.

40 years ago my father told me unions had outlived their usefulness, yes they are not the only way to go and are a big part of why company's look outside of the US for manufacturing. As much as I would like to put all the blame in the lap of Bush I can't....hey this is a MC forum, lets go ride!

I will leave the argument against unions alone. Nevertheless, go IAM. As long as I can help it, I will never work a non-union job. Oh, and by the way, IAM, we are bored w/o you guys there. Get back to work please!!! haha. I'm glad they got the outsource out of the contract. That would have f'd you all over. I'm sure we'll be gone in a few years, but you never know. There is power in numbers, and that's what you boys have for you. We don't have the numbers. We're proud of you guys. Way to stay strong.

I wouldn't know as this is my first strike...from what I hear they are not looked on favorably. I was 18 years in the UAW and we never struck.

Just got back from voting...from what people are saying it could really go either way. We got some improvements...I don't think anyone can honestly expect everything they want...some people will never be satisfied, that's just the way it is. I'm prepared either way...+2 for a ride!

I don't have a house or a car payment myself, but that's not the case with most members. I have a feeling most will vote to accept even if they don't like the contract because they need the income, I'm pretty sure we are going back to work..But I have been wrong before?
