Sunday Ride 11/23
I was thinking of doing a sunday ride, it looks pretty nice and suppose to be relaxing/enjoyable.

it looks pretty nice this sunday, also, the ride will be nice and moderate pace, not crazy speed due to cops around the area, i'm a new rider anyways

time around noon, from the map we could meet at factoria mall (intersection of I90 and 405) then ride east to XXX rootbeer for lunch then ride the route, if you want to make it longer we could go around lake sammamish too, I've been on that road and it's pretty nice.

Anyone want to join?

I might join if the weather permits.

I did it last weekend. It's slow sure, but checking out all the enormous houses and hot MILFS jogging was actually really fun. There are cops all over the island so you really gotta keep your wrist out of it even though the roads beg you to open it up.

Also watch out for Supermotos and dual sports railing past you! Sport bikes are out of their element on this road, at least East Mercer Way!

I might make this if the weater is nice and dry. And if my birthday hangover from the night before (see Trailer Trash party) can tolerate my loud pipes.

I grew up there so I know it well. FYI if you are planning to go around the outside ring of the island it is only about a 40 minute ride. We will likely be stuck behind a slow old person driving their Lincoln about 15 MPH. It is totally residential with driveways off the road the whole way. And no, you really can't speed. The cops are always out.

Devnull, you can hang out with me. I am on a cruiser and will drag ass for sure. The entire ride is lined with trees, so the roads will be a little slippery with wet leaves. Sliding off the road and down a 75' ravine doesn't appeal to me.

Want to meet at noon at the East Mercer Way off ramp from I-90? When you get to the top of the ramp (coming from Bellevue; turn left and cross over the freeway if coming from Seattle) there is a little dead end street to the right with lots of room for staging. It is also an excellent place to start a tour around the island. That puts us ending at the Roanoke Tavern, which has very tasty grub and is close to the West Mercer Way onramp right before the bridge.

I rode on Mercer Island recently. There were lots of leaves and muds on the road. Ride safe guys. It can get a bit technical over there, but fun nonetheless.

Dual sport will be perfect for the current road condition there.

I just rode east mercer way yesterday. Loose gravel at the apex of some of the turns and lots of leaves, but nothing super unreasonable as long as your cautious.

Ah yes... the Roay. We head to lunch there often on Friday's for "off site team building luncheons"

The speed limits on the Island are strictly enforced. Also lots of wet leaves everywhere. It is a nice little put put ride in the day light though. Have fun and watch it there.
